The fastest way
Fiverr has no single cancel button. Cancel active gig orders in the Resolution Center on the order page. For completed orders, open a Customer Support ticket. Cancel Seller Plus under Manage membership. Refunds go to your Fiverr balance unless you click 'Request a Refund'. You can also email support@fiverr.com with the subject 'Refund request, Order #[number]'.
Or let yoink do it for you.
30 seconds. AI emails Fiverr, handles retention, chases the refund. You approve once, then sleep.

- Online (fastest): Direct cancel flow: www.fiverr.com/billing
- Email: Fiverr doesn’t process cancellations by email. Still worth sending one: it dates your cancellation request in writing, which matters for disputes and refunds.
Timing matters: Gig orders: if a freelancer is late with no agreed extension, you can cancel alone 24 hours after the missed deadline. Gig Subscriptions: end them before the next order is charged. Seller Plus: you only get a refund if you cancel within 48 hours of a charge, and semi-annual or annual renewal fees are held from earnings 30 days before renewal.
The email that backs it up
Fiverr won’t action a cancellation from an email alone, use the fastest channel above for the cancellation itself. This email still earns its place: it puts your cancellation date in writing (your evidence if they keep billing) and it’s where the refund request happens.

Subject:
Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Fiverr team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]
Wait for confirmation
Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.
Fiverr plans you can cancel
- One-off Gig Orders (buyers)
You can ask to cancel an active order at any time through the Resolution Center on the order page. If you haven't submitted your project requirements yet, you can cancel straight away (website only). If the freelancer is late and no extension was agreed, you can cancel without their approval 24 hours after the delivery deadline. The Resolution Center can't cancel completed orders, so contact Customer Support instead.
- Gig Subscriptions (buyers)
These are recurring orders from one Gig, for up to 6 months. To stop future orders, go to Order page > Subscription tab > three-dot menu > End subscription, then pick a reason and confirm. Each order is separate: the next one starts whatever the status of the last one, unless you cancel.
- Seller Plus Kickstart$15.00/mo
A $15/month subscription that renews automatically (tax is added in taxable countries). Cancel at any time from the Manage membership page on your freelancer dashboard. You keep the benefits until the end of the current billing cycle.
- Seller Plus Standard
Billed monthly, every six months or yearly. Cancel from Manage membership, or go to Billing and payments → Ongoing payments. Monthly fees come out of your earnings if no payment method is on file. Semi-annual and annual fees are held against your withdrawable balance 30 days before each renewal.
- Seller Plus Premium
Same management and cancellation route as Standard: Manage membership, or Billing and payments → Ongoing payments.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
The 48-hour window covers only Seller Plus subscription charges (Kickstart, Standard, Premium). After that you get no refund, and you keep the benefits until the cycle ends. One-off Gig orders have no fixed window. Once an order is cancelled through the Resolution Center or by Support, the full amount plus the service fee goes to your Fiverr balance. Fiverr does NOT send it back to your card or PayPal automatically, so you must click 'Request a Refund' on the Available balances tab. For Gig Subscriptions, you can only cancel future orders before they're charged. Filing a chargeback automatically cancels the order and restricts your account.
“If you chose to cancel your subscription, you are eligible for a refund if you cancel within 48 hours of your last plan payment.”

Does Fiverr charge a cancellation fee?
Fiverr’s terms mention conditions worth checking before you cancel, see the plan notes and policy quote above for the specifics we found. In general: rolling monthly plans end at the period you’ve already paid for with nothing extra to pay, while minimum-term or contract plans can carry an early-exit charge until the term ends.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Fiverr
Based on 6 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Expecting a cancelled order to refund your card automatically, Fiverr's help center says refunds don't go to your payment provider automatically after a cancellation. The money goes to your Fiverr balance until you click 'Request a Refund'.
- ✕ Using the Resolution Center to cancel a completed order, The Resolution Center isn't available for completed or already-cancelled orders. You have to contact Customer Support.
- ✕ Requesting a card or PayPal refund from the Android app, The 'Request a refund' option only works on iOS and desktop.
- ✕ Filing a chargeback or PayPal claim before trying Fiverr's refund route, A chargeback automatically cancels the order, adds a 'Dispute with payment provider' warning to your account and can restrict the account. Fiverr also can't process its own refund while the case is open.
- ✕ Asking for Fiverr credits to be refunded to your card, Fiverr says it can refund your Fiverr balance but can't refund or transfer Fiverr credits, and credits expire after three months.
- ✕ Asking for a Seller Plus refund days after the renewal, Refunds are only available within 48 hours of the last plan payment. Using features after that rules out a refund.
- ✕ Asking for a second refund after accepting a partial refund, Once a partial refund is accepted, you can't make further refund requests on the same order.
- ✕ Calling a Fiverr customer service phone line, Fiverr publishes no consumer support phone line. Its help center sends you to 24/7 ticket support. The 1-800 number on some directory sites belongs to Computershare, Fiverr's stock transfer agent.
- ✕ Asking Fiverr to send the refund to a different card or PayPal account, Fiverr can only refund the original payment source and can't change the destination account.
Cancelled Fiverr but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Fiverr, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@fiverr.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Fiverr’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Fiverr charges again.
How Fiverr will try to keep you
Fiverr may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Refunds go to your Fiverr balance by default, so the money stays on the platform”
You say: After the cancellation is approved, go to Billing > Available balances and click 'Request a Refund' on desktop or iOS. If the button is missing, write to Support: 'Please refund the full order amount, including the service fee, to my original payment method, not Fiverr balance.'
They’ll say: “The seller declines your cancellation request or ignores it”
You say: If the delivery date has passed and no extension was agreed, you can cancel yourself 24 hours after the expected delivery time. Otherwise, escalate to Customer Support with screenshots of the order page and messages, and ask for a cancellation under Fiverr's Terms of Service.
They’ll say: “The seller pushes a partial refund to avoid a full cancellation”
You say: Accepting a partial refund means you can't request any more refunds on that order. Decline unless the amount is final. A declined offer lets you keep negotiating or escalate.
They’ll say: “Orders auto-complete, which locks you out of the Resolution Center”
You say: Completed orders can still be cancelled by Customer Support. Open a ticket quickly, say the delivery was not as described, and include evidence.
They’ll say: “Seller Plus keeps renewing, and the refund window is only 48 hours”
You say: Cancel under Manage membership, or Billing and payments → Ongoing payments, within 48 hours of the charge and don't use any Seller Plus features. Annual and semi-annual fees are held 30 days before renewal, so cancel before then.
They’ll say: “Chargebacks trigger an account restriction”
You say: Use Fiverr's own refund route first and keep a written record. If Fiverr won't act, a card dispute is still an option, but expect the order to be cancelled and the account restricted while it's reviewed. Complaints to consumer regulators (FTC or your state attorney general in the US, Trading Standards in the UK, national consumer bodies in the EU) are further levers.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires Fiverr to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Fiverr has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Fiverr’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Fiverr’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Fiverr must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Fiverr account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Fiverr’s account settings, email support@fiverr.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Fiverr
Yes. If the freelancer misses the delivery date and you **didn't agree to an extension**, Fiverr lets you cancel the order yourself **24 hours after the expected delivery time**, without the freelancer's approval. Go to **Orders**, open the order, click **Resolution Center**, then **Cancel order**. The full amount, including the service fee, goes to your Fiverr balance. Use **Request a Refund** on the Available balances tab if you want it back on your card.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Fiverr refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Fiverr contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
