Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Tolt team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. If your policy allows it, I'd also appreciate a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the current period. Best, [your name]

Tolt’s refund policy
Tolt advertises a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund on its pricing page, full refund if you request it within 30 days of your initial purchase. The Terms of Service add a pro-rata refund right if Tolt itself discontinues or withdraws a service mid-term. Outside the 30-day window, the Terms state fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Email support@tolt.com from your account email to request the refund.
“We have a 30 days refund policy. So, if either affiliate marketing or Tolt is not the right fit for your SaaS, then you can request a full refund within 30 days, no questions asked.”

Does Tolt charge a cancellation fee?
Tolt’s terms mention conditions worth checking before you cancel, see the plan notes and policy quote above for the specifics we found. In general: rolling monthly plans end at the period you’ve already paid for with nothing extra to pay, while minimum-term or contract plans can carry an early-exit charge until the term ends.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Tolt
Based on 6 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Cancelling by closing the Stripe/Paddle integration on your own app, Disconnecting your payment processor does not stop Tolt billing you, the Tolt subscription is separate and must be cancelled inside the Tolt dashboard or via email.
- ✕ Letting the 14-day free trial 'lapse' without action, Tolt does not require a credit card for the trial, so there's nothing to lapse, but if you upgraded mid-trial, the paid plan renews until you actively cancel.
- ✕ Requesting a refund after 30 days, Terms of Service state all fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated; the 30-day no-questions window is the only blanket refund route.
- ✕ Asking Tolt to reverse already-paid affiliate commissions, Per the Terms, once an invoice is issued and Tolt has received payment, commissions are 'final and earned' and not subject to retroactive reversal.
Cancelled Tolt but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Tolt, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@tolt.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Tolt’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- You're inside a minimum term. Some Tolt plans keep charging until a fixed term ends even after you cancel, check the plan notes above.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Tolt charges again.
How Tolt will try to keep you
Tolt may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Offer to downgrade to the Basic ($69) plan instead of cancelling”
You say: Thanks, I've already evaluated the lower tier and it doesn't fit my needs. Please proceed with full cancellation and confirm in writing.
They’ll say: “Point to the 14-day free trial extension or a discount month”
You say: I appreciate the offer but I've decided to move off the platform. Please cancel today and process a refund of my most recent charge under your 30-day refund policy.
They’ll say: “Suggest pausing the program rather than cancelling”
You say: A pause doesn't resolve my reason for leaving. Please action the cancellation now so I'm not billed for the next cycle.
They’ll say: “Highlight migration friction (exporting affiliates, breaking Stripe/Paddle sync)”
You say: I've already lined up an alternative and exported my affiliate list. Please confirm the cancellation date and the final invoice.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires Tolt to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Tolt has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Tolt’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Tolt’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Tolt must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Tolt account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Tolt’s account settings, email support@tolt.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Tolt
You have two routes. **1) Self-serve:** log in to tolt.com, open **Settings → Billing**, and click cancel, your access continues until the end of the current billing period. **2) Email:** write to **support@tolt.com** from your account email with the subject *'Cancel my Tolt subscription'* and a one-line request.
