Hi Superwall team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]

Superwall’s refund policy
Superwall has no fixed refund window. Refunds are handled case-by-case at Superwall's sole discretion. Billing runs in monthly cycles based on prior-period usage (MAR), so cancelling stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current invoice. To request a refund, email team@superwall.com with your workspace name, invoice IDs, and the reason.
“Certain refund requests for Subscriptions may be considered by Superwall on a case-by-case basis and granted in sole discretion of Superwall.”

Does Superwall charge a cancellation fee?
Superwall’s terms mention conditions worth checking before you cancel, see the plan notes and policy quote above for the specifics we found. In general: rolling monthly plans end at the period you’ve already paid for with nothing extra to pay, while minimum-term or contract plans can carry an early-exit charge until the term ends.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Superwall
Based on 4 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Uninstalling the SDK from your app to 'cancel', Removing SuperwallKit from your codebase does not close the account or stop monthly billing, the subscription continues to renew until you cancel in the dashboard.
- ✕ Letting the free trial lapse without cancelling, Per the Terms, on the last day of the free trial period you are automatically charged for the applicable usage fees unless you cancel first.
- ✕ Disputing the charge before contacting support, Refunds are explicitly at Superwall's sole discretion; a chargeback risks account suspension before you've had a chance at the case-by-case review.
- ✕ Cancelling via Apple/Google subscription settings, Superwall is a B2B SaaS billed directly via card on file in the dashboard, not through the App Store or Play Store, there is no store-level cancellation toggle.
Cancelled Superwall but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Superwall, treat it as not cancelled. Email
team@superwall.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Superwall’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- You're inside a minimum term. Some Superwall plans keep charging until a fixed term ends even after you cancel, check the plan notes above.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Superwall charges again.
How Superwall will try to keep you
Superwall may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Sales/CSM offers to downgrade you from Scale ($199) to Startup ($49) instead of cancelling.”
You say: Thanks, but we're discontinuing paywall experimentation entirely on this workspace, a downgrade still leaves the 1% MAR fee, which is what we need to stop. Please proceed with full cancellation effective end of the current billing cycle.
They’ll say: “Offer to waive the 1% MAR overage or extend free Indie tier limits.”
You say: Appreciate the offer. The decision isn't price-driven, we're consolidating onto our in-house paywall stack. Please confirm cancellation and the final invoice amount in writing.
They’ll say: “Enterprise customers reminded of signed contract / SLA term length.”
You say: Please send the specific MSA clause and effective notice date you're relying on. We'll provide written notice in line with that clause today; treat this email as that notice.
They’ll say: “Suggest pausing or keeping the account on the free Indie tier 'just in case'.”
You say: We'd prefer a full account closure and data deletion under GDPR/CCPA rather than a dormant account. Please confirm deletion timeline.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires Superwall to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Superwall has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Superwall’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Superwall’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Superwall must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Superwall account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Superwall’s account settings, email team@superwall.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Superwall
Log into the Superwall dashboard, open **Settings → Billing**, and cancel from there. Per Superwall's Terms, *"You may cancel at any time either through your online account management page or by contacting Superwall customer support team."* If the dashboard option is hidden or your plan is Enterprise (signed contract), email **team@superwall.com** with the workspace name and request written confirmation of the cancellation effective date.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Superwall refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Superwall contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
