Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Suno team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]
Wait for confirmation
Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.

- Pro Plan$10.00/mo
Cancel any time at suno.com/account; Pro features remain active through the end of the current billing cycle, then revert to Basic.

What happens to what you’ve already paid
Suno's default position is that payments are final. A prorated refund is only guaranteed if Suno itself shuts down the service. The help centre says the team will 'do our best to make it right' if you cancel within a day or two, if a payment was accidental and you have zero songs in the account, or during significant product outages. Intermittent usage over multiple months is not refundable.
“If we discontinue the Service, we will refund you any pre-paid fees on a pro rata basis, based upon the number of months left in the pre-payment period.”
, Suno terms

Does Suno charge a cancellation fee?
Suno’s terms mention conditions worth checking before you cancel, see the plan notes and policy quote above for the specifics we found. In general: rolling monthly plans end at the period you’ve already paid for with nothing extra to pay, while minimum-term or contract plans can carry an early-exit charge until the term ends.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Suno
Based on 7 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Cancelling an App Store subscription via suno.com/account, The website's Cancel Subscription button only appears for Stripe-billed subs; iOS subscriptions must be cancelled through Apple ID settings.
- ✕ Cancelling a Google Play subscription via suno.com/account, Suno support cannot modify Play Store subscriptions, cancel in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions.
- ✕ Requesting a prorated refund for the unused portion of an annual plan, Suno does not prorate refunds unless it discontinues the service itself; annual subs run out the paid year.
- ✕ Asking Suno to refund an App Store yearly charge, Suno directs users to Apple; Apple's automated system frequently denies these requests.
- ✕ Deleting the app or uninstalling, Removing the app does not cancel the underlying Stripe / Apple / Google subscription, you keep getting billed.
Cancelled Suno but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Suno, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@suno.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Suno’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Suno charges again.
How Suno will try to keep you
Suno may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Offer to downgrade to Basic instead of cancelling”
You say: Confirm you want a full cancellation, not a pause or downgrade. Basic still auto-caps you at 50 daily credits, it does not stop future upsell prompts.
They’ll say: “Point out you'll lose unused monthly credits and priority queue”
You say: Subscription credits don't roll over month-to-month anyway, so 'losing' them at cancel is the same friction you face every 30 days. Purchased top-up credits stay in the account and reactivate if you ever resubscribe.
They’ll say: “Remind you that free-tier songs are non-commercial only”
You say: You keep full commercial rights on every song you already generated while paid, that doesn't expire when the subscription does. Only new songs made after cancellation are restricted.
They’ll say: “Suggest resubscribing later for busy months”
You say: That's fine as a fallback, but you don't need to keep paying now to preserve it. Cancel today; the account and library stay intact on Basic.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires Suno to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Suno has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Suno’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Suno’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Suno must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Suno account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Suno’s account settings, email support@suno.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Suno
If you subscribed on the Suno website, go to **suno.com/account** and click **Cancel Subscription** at the top of the page, then confirm. You can also open the Stripe portal via **Update Payment** and cancel from there. If you subscribed inside the iOS or Android app, you have to cancel through **Apple ID → Subscriptions** or **Google Play → Payments & subscriptions**, Suno's website cancel button won't appear for App Store or Play billing.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Suno refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Suno contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
