The fastest way
Cancel a Soar booking in the app: open the flight, tap Manage, then Contact support, or email support@flysoar.ai with subject "Cancellation and refund request, booking ref". Phone support runs 24/7 on +1 (888) 318-7914. Refund Guarantee only pays if you cancel before the first leg departs; refunds typically land in 5 to 10 business days.
Or let yoink do it for you.

- Phone: Call +1 (888) 318-7914 and say “cancel my service”. Expect a retention pitch, decline it twice and hold firm.
- Email: Email
support@flysoar.aiwith the template below, the route that creates a paper trail and carries the refund ask.
Timing matters: Refund Guarantee can only be added within 1 hour of booking, and the cancellation must be completed through Soar before the scheduled departure of the first flight in the itinerary, after that the whole booking, including return and connecting legs, is ineligible, and a no-show does not preserve coverage.

Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Soar team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]

Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Soar is a booking platform, not an airline, so refundability of the FLIGHT TICKET is set by the operating carrier's fare rules, the terms state all charges are final once the airline issues a ticket. Where the airline does refund, Soar passes it through, less non-refundable fees, on the airline's timeline, and the booking flow says refunds typically arrive in 5 to 10 business days. The optional REFUND GUARANTEE add-on is different: it can only be attached within 1 hour of booking, pays out once for the booking as a whole (not per leg), requires you to cancel through Soar before the first leg's scheduled departure, and the guarantee fee itself is never refunded. Crucially, refund requests and payment disputes for BOTH are handled by Soar directly, the terms tell you to contact Soar rather than the airline.
“You must complete the cancellation through Soar before the scheduled departure of the first flight in the first itinerary leg. Once that time passes, the entire booking is ineligible under the Refund Guarantee, including every connection and return leg, whether or not you boarded the first flight.”

Does Soar charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Soar’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Soar
Based on 6 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Calling the airline to cancel or claim the refund, The terms state Soar manages all refund requests and payment disputes directly with customers and that you should contact Soar rather than the airline, going to the carrier first usually just bounces you back and can break Refund Guarantee eligibility.
- ✕ Cancelling only the return or a connecting leg under the Refund Guarantee, The guarantee applies once to the booking as a whole, not as separate protection for each outbound, return, connecting or multi-city leg.
- ✕ Simply not showing up for the first flight, Terms are explicit that a no-show does not preserve coverage, once the first leg's departure time passes the entire booking, including every connection and return, is ineligible.
- ✕ Trying to add Refund Guarantee after you've already booked, Soar's own booking flow returns 'Refund Protection can only be added within 1 hour of booking', after that the add-on can't be attached retroactively.
- ✕ Assuming a blanket free 24-hour cancellation on any Soar booking, The terms say all charges are final once the airline issues a ticket and refundability is governed entirely by the operating airline and the fare class you select, any 24-hour window comes from the carrier, not Soar.
- ✕ Emailing privacy@flysoar.ai about a booking refund, That address is published in the privacy policy for data access, export and deletion requests, not billing, refund threads belong at support@flysoar.ai or in the in-app Manage → Contact support flow.
Cancelled Soar but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Soar, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@flysoar.aireferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Soar’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Soar charges again.
How Soar will try to keep you
Soar may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Offering a change/rebooking instead of a cancellation, the app fetches live change offers from the airline and shows penalties, fare difference and any refund.”
You say: State plainly: 'I am not requesting a date change. I am requesting cancellation of booking [ref] and a refund to the original payment method. Please confirm cancellation in writing today.'
They’ll say: “Steering you to the airline's fare rules as the reason nothing can be done.”
You say: Quote their own terms back: Soar manages all refund requests and payment disputes directly with customers, and asks that you contact Soar rather than the airline. Ask them to submit the refund to the carrier and send you the airline's refund reference.
They’ll say: “Airline credit or voucher offered in place of cash, Soar's own feature copy talks in terms of 'airline refunds/credits'.”
You say: 'I decline travel credit. Please process a cash refund to the original card. If the carrier only authorises credit, send me that decision in writing with the fare-rule clause it relies on.'
They’ll say: “Deducting 'non-refundable fees' from the pass-through refund without a breakdown, the terms allow this.”
You say: Ask for an itemised breakdown: base fare, taxes, airline penalty, Soar service fee. Government taxes and unused airport charges are frequently recoverable even on non-refundable fares.
They’ll say: “Pushing you onto phone or a cofounder text thread rather than a written channel, the support page markets calling and texting as the fastest routes.”
You say: Take the call if it speeds things up, but always follow with: 'Confirming our call of [date/time]: you agreed to cancel booking [ref] and refund $[amount]. Please reply to confirm.' A written trail is what a chargeback or regulator needs.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Soar has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Soar’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Soar’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Soar must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Soar account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Soar’s account settings, email support@flysoar.ai with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Soar
Cancel inside Soar, not with the airline. Sign in, open the flight, choose **Manage**, then **Contact support**, your booking details are attached automatically. You can also email **support@flysoar.ai** or call **+1 (888) 318-7914**, which the support page lists as available 24/7. Include the traveller's name, the airline confirmation code, and the email or phone number on the Soar account, and never send full card or passport numbers. If you bought the Refund Guarantee, the cancellation must be completed through Soar *before* the first flight's scheduled departure.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Soar refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Soar contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
