Oxylabs’s refund policy
Oxylabs operates a 3-calendar-day money-back guarantee, not the 14/30-day window most consumer SaaS uses. You also must have used less than 20% of your traffic or credits (10% on Enterprise/Custom plans), not have charged back, and never have claimed a refund before. Pay-as-you-go and Dedicated IP purchases are non-refundable unless Oxylabs billed you in error, in which case you have up to 30 days to flag it. Self-service plans only; Custom/Enterprise refunds are case-by-case via your Account Manager.
“A request for refund is submitted within 3 (three) calendar days of the date of the first transaction for the Services; You have not used more than 20% of Credits for Services purchased via one of the Regular plans (Starter, Lite or Standard) or 10% of Credits for Services purchased via the Custom plan”

Does Oxylabs charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Oxylabs’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Oxylabs
Based on 4 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Requesting a refund after 72 hours from first transaction, Oxylabs strictly enforces a 3-calendar-day (72-hour) window from the first transaction and routinely declines requests filed on day 4+, even if the service was never used.
- ✕ Refund on Pay-as-you-go plans, PAYG plans are explicitly non-refundable per the Self-Service Subscription Agreement; cancellation simply prevents the next month's billing.
- ✕ Refund after multiple renewal cycles, Oxylabs replies to Trustpilot complaints saying repeated auto-renewals fall outside refund policy even when the service was unused.
- ✕ Refund on Dedicated Datacenter / Dedicated ISP IPs, All purchases are final and non-refundable unless Oxylabs charged in error, you then have 14 to 30 days to contest the charge.
- ✕ Chargeback then asking for refund later, Eligibility is voided once you 'charged back or otherwise reversed' fees, per the terms.
- ✕ Second refund on the same account, Eligibility requires no prior claim has been made for a refund.
- ✕ Cancelling a Custom/Enterprise plan via the dashboard, Custom plan subscriptions can only be cancelled by contacting your Dedicated Account Manager, the dashboard button is disabled.
Cancelled Oxylabs but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Oxylabs, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@oxylabs.ioreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Oxylabs’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Oxylabs charges again.
How Oxylabs will try to keep you
Oxylabs may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Support claims the 3-day window already elapsed”
You say: Cite the exact timestamp of your first transaction in the dashboard and the timestamp of your refund request. If under 72 hours, quote clause 3.8 of the Self-Service Subscription Agreement and demand escalation to compliance@oxylabs.io.
They’ll say: “Compliance team blanket-declines the refund”
You say: Reply with the five eligibility conditions verbatim and confirm you meet each one (usage %, no chargeback, no prior refund, account in good standing). Ask for the specific clause being relied on to refuse.
They’ll say: “Live-chat agent goes silent or ends the chat”
You say: Trustpilot reviews show chat agents dropping refund queries. Switch to email at support@oxylabs.io so there's a written trail, and CC hello@oxylabs.io for visibility.
They’ll say: “Account is suspended right after the refund request”
You say: If suspension happened AFTER your refund request (not before), it doesn't disqualify you, the policy excludes prior breach-based suspensions only. Push back in writing.
They’ll say: “PayPal/card chargeback as last resort”
You say: Multiple Trustpilot users report PayPal refunding instantly when Oxylabs refuses, but a chargeback forfeits any future eligibility and gets the account banned, so use only after written refusal.
They’ll say: “Custom-plan customer told to call their Account Manager”
You say: Get the cancellation request in writing, email the Account Manager AND compliance@oxylabs.io so there's a notice date you can rely on if billing continues.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires Oxylabs to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Oxylabs has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Oxylabs’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Oxylabs’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Oxylabs must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Oxylabs account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Oxylabs’s account settings, email support@oxylabs.io with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Oxylabs
Log into the Oxylabs dashboard, click **My account** on the left sidebar, find the product you want to cancel (Residential, Mobile, Datacenter, ISP, Web Unblocker, Web Scraper API), open **Manage subscription** and click **Cancel subscription / Cancel plan**, then confirm. Access continues until the end of the current billing period and the button changes to **Resubscribe** afterwards. Custom (Enterprise) plans can't be cancelled in-app, you have to email your Dedicated Account Manager.
