- Phone (fastest): Call +1 844-844-6664 and say “cancel my service”. Expect a retention pitch, decline it twice and hold firm.
- Post: Return equipment within 14 days of cancellation using the prepaid USPS label Omni Fiber emails (from Merchant Returns), or request one at 844-844-6664.. Send it tracked so you can prove delivery.
- Email: OmniFiber doesn’t process cancellations by email. Still worth sending one: it dates your cancellation request in writing, which matters for disputes and refunds.
Timing matters: No pro-rating for partial months, so cancel just before your next bill date. To get the money-back refund, the disconnect date must be within 30 calendar days of installation. Equipment is due back within 14 days of cancelling.
The email that backs it up
OmniFiber won’t action a cancellation from an email alone, use the fastest channel above for the cancellation itself. This email still earns its place: it puts your cancellation date in writing (your evidence if they keep billing) and it’s where the refund request happens.

What happens to what you’ve already paid
Omni Fiber's 30-day money-back guarantee covers regular monthly service charges (internet, TV, home phone) as long as your disconnect date is within 30 calendar days of installation. One-time installation/activation fees and per-use phone charges such as long distance and operator assistance are not refunded. Refunds go back to your original payment method, or by check, and can take up to 45 days. After 30 days, monthly service charges are not pro-rated for partial months, and unreturned-equipment charges are a separate fee that you dispute with proof of return.
“If within the first 30 days after installation of your service you are not completely satisfied, you may cancel your service and Omni Fiber will refund the regular monthly charges paid to Omni Fiber up through the disconnect date.”

Does OmniFiber charge a cancellation fee?
OmniFiber’s terms mention conditions worth checking before you cancel, see the plan notes and policy quote above for the specifics we found. In general: rolling monthly plans end at the period you’ve already paid for with nothing extra to pay, while minimum-term or contract plans can carry an early-exit charge until the term ends.
What doesn’t work for cancelling OmniFiber
Based on 6 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Expecting a pro-rated refund when you cancel mid-month, Omni Fiber's FAQ says it does not pro-rate partial months when services are cancelled between billing periods.
- ✕ Dropping equipment at the post office without keeping the tracking receipt, Several BBB complaints describe $150, $160 unreturned-equipment charges even after the gear was shipped with the prepaid label. Refunds only came through once the customer pushed back with proof of return.
- ✕ Cancelling within 30 days and expecting to keep the $50 online sign-up credit, The online credit is reversed if service is disconnected within 30 days of installation or before the credit is used up.
- ✕ Calling to cancel outside customer-service hours, Customer service runs Mon, Fri 8am, 8pm ET, Sat 8am, 5pm and Sun 8am, 1pm. The 24/7 line is technical support only. A BBB complainant who called at night couldn't reach anyone who could cancel.
- ✕ Assuming billing stops on its own after cancelling, A BBB complainant whose autopay kept running reported late-fee bills nearly a year after cancelling. Omni Fiber later admitted billing had not stopped on the account.
Cancelled OmniFiber but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from OmniFiber, treat it as not cancelled. Email
customerservice@omnifiber.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on OmniFiber’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- You're inside a minimum term. Some OmniFiber plans keep charging until a fixed term ends even after you cancel, check the plan notes above.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if OmniFiber charges again.
How OmniFiber will try to keep you
OmniFiber may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Charging $150, $160 for 'unreturned' equipment while the box sits unprocessed in their warehouse”
You say: I returned all Omni Fiber equipment on [date] using your prepaid USPS label, tracking number [number], and it shows as delivered. Please reverse the unreturned-equipment charge of $[amount] and refund it to my original payment method within 7 days.
They’ll say: “Front-line agents refusing refunds, so you have to argue your way to a supervisor”
You say: I'm requesting a refund under your published 30-Day Money Back Guarantee: my disconnect date of [date] is within 30 days of my [date] installation. If you can't approve this, please transfer me to a supervisor now and note this request on my account.
They’ll say: “Billing continuing (and late fees adding up) after a phone cancellation”
You say: I cancelled my Omni Fiber service on [date] (agent/reference: [details]). Please confirm the cancellation in writing, stop all charges after that date, and reverse any late fees or charges billed since then.
They’ll say: “Promotional pricing pitched on the phone that doesn't match the bill, plus extra fees such as tech-visit fees”
You say: The agent who signed me up promised [promo terms]. My bill shows [charges]. Please honor the promised pricing and remove the fee of $[amount], or let me cancel with a full refund under your 30-day guarantee.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires OmniFiber to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; OmniFiber has ~45 days to defend.
Delete your OmniFiber account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in OmniFiber’s account settings, email customerservice@omnifiber.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
