The fastest way
Log in at dehancer.com, open your User Profile and cancel the subscription's auto-renewal. You keep access until the paid period ends, but that period isn't refunded. iPhone App Store purchases are cancelled in Apple settings. For a paper trail, email support@dehancer.com with the subject 'Cancel subscription, [account email]'. Dehancer doesn't publish a confirmation time.
Or let yoink do it for you.
30 seconds. AI emails Dehancer, handles retention, chases the refund. You approve once, then sleep.

Dehancer won’t action a cancellation from an email alone, use the fastest channel above for the cancellation itself. This email still earns its place: it puts your cancellation date in writing (your evidence if they keep billing) and it’s where the refund request happens.

Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Dehancer team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. I'm giving notice ahead of my next renewal date and expect no further charges from that date. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]

Dehancer plans you can cancel
- Mobile$12.00/mo
Covers the Dehancer iOS app (photo and video) plus Dehancer Online. Subscriptions bought through Dehancer's own site are cancelled in the dehancer.com User Profile. Subscriptions bought in the iOS app are cancelled through Apple subscriptions.
- Individual Photo$35.00/mo
Includes 3 seats: the photo plugins (Ps, Lr, C1, Affinity Photo), Dehancer Desktop, iOS photo and Dehancer Online. Cancelling in the User Profile stops auto-renewal. Deactivating seats does not stop billing.
- Individual Photo & Video$69.00/mo
Includes 3 seats: all photo and video plugins (Resolve, FCP, Premiere, After Effects, Vegas Pro), Desktop, iOS and Online. Cancel auto-renewal in the User Profile before the renewal date.
- Studio$99.00/mo
1 seat on one workstation (device). The pricing page says it auto-renews and shows $49/m billed at $588 a year ('Save 51%' compared with monthly). Includes priority support and business invoices.
- Production$499.00/mo
Custom seats with offline activation, sold through 'Contact Us'. It auto-renews at $184/m billed $2208 a year. Seats are managed from the admin panel of the Production License Server. To cancel, you'll probably need to contact Dehancer support or sales.
- Lifetime (one-time licence)
A one-off purchase that never renews: $249 for the photo plugin lifetime (2 seats) and $999 for the Dehancer Pro video plugin lifetime (2 seats). You can exchange it for subscription credit, but the lifetime licence is then revoked.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Subscription charges (Mobile, Photo, Photo & Video, Studio, Production; monthly or annual) are not refunded when you cancel. Cancelling only stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the paid term ends. Lifetime licences are one-off purchases with no published refund window. Dehancer's documented alternative is to exchange a lifetime licence for subscription credit, which revokes the lifetime licence. Plans bought through Apple's App Store are refunded under Apple's process, not Dehancer's.
“If you cancel your Subscription, the payment for it will not be refunded, but you will be able to use it until the end of its validity period. After that, it will not renew automatically.”

Does Dehancer charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Dehancer’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Dehancer
Based on 8 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Clicking 'Deactivate all seats' or uninstalling the plugin to stop billing, Dehancer's docs treat seat deactivation as licence management (moving seats between devices or hosts). It is a separate step from cancelling the subscription's auto-renewal in the User Profile.
- ✕ Cancelling and expecting an automatic refund for the rest of the term, Dehancer's FAQ says plainly that a cancelled subscription's payment will not be refunded. Access simply continues until the period ends.
- ✕ Calling Dehancer to cancel, Dehancer publishes no customer-service phone line, and contact directories report that no phone number is available. Support runs through the dehancer.com/support form and email.
- ✕ Cancelling on dehancer.com when you subscribed in the iOS app, App Store subscriptions are billed by Apple, so you have to cancel them in your Apple ID subscription settings.
Cancelled Dehancer but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Dehancer, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@dehancer.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Dehancer’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Dehancer charges again.
How Dehancer will try to keep you
Dehancer may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “No-refund-on-cancel policy: cancelling mid-term only stops renewal, so the current monthly or annual payment stays with Dehancer.”
You say: I understand your FAQ says cancelled subscriptions aren't refunded. This charge is an unwanted auto-renewal that I haven't used since it was taken. Please refund it as a goodwill exception, and confirm in writing that auto-renewal is off.
They’ll say: “Pushing annual prepayment with big 'Save 51%' / 'Save 63%' discounts on auto-renewing yearly plans ($348, $2208), so a missed renewal date costs a full year.”
You say: My plan renewed for a full year without a reminder I noticed, and I haven't activated or used it since the renewal. Please reverse the renewal charge, or at least refund the unused months.
They’ll say: “Offering to exchange a Lifetime licence for subscription credit (the lifetime licence is revoked), which turns a one-off purchase into a recurring commitment.”
You say: I don't want to convert my Lifetime licence into a subscription. Please confirm my lifetime licence stays active and that no recurring billing has been set up on my account.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires Dehancer to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Dehancer has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Dehancer’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Dehancer’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Dehancer must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Dehancer account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Dehancer’s account settings, email support@dehancer.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Dehancer
According to Dehancer's FAQ, cancelling **doesn't refund** the current payment, but you can keep using the subscription **until the end of its validity period**. After that it won't renew. So if you cancel the day after an annual renewal, you keep a year of access but don't get the money back. If you were charged for a renewal you didn't want and haven't used, email **support@dehancer.com** quickly and ask for a goodwill refund. Their published policy offers no refund, so a quick, polite request is your best chance.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Dehancer refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Dehancer contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
