Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi VeePN team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. I'm giving notice ahead of my next renewal date and expect no further charges from that date. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. If your policy allows it, I'd also appreciate a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the current period. Best, [your name]
Wait for confirmation
Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.

What happens to what you’ve already paid
VeePN gives a 14-day money-back guarantee on weekly and monthly plans, and a 30-day guarantee on 6-month or longer plans, counted from your original purchase date. You request it by emailing support from your registered address before deleting your account, deleting the account first forfeits the refund. Fees for discounted trials are strictly non-refundable, and you can only claim a refund once; rebilled or renewed subscriptions are treated as non-refundable. Beyond the window, VeePN may grant a pro-rata refund at its discretion if the service was unusable and you tried to resolve it.
“If you choose not to use our paid Services anymore, we guarantee you the right to claim a refund within 14 or 30 days since the date of the original purchase following your subscription to our Services.”

Does VeePN charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in VeePN’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling VeePN
Based on 7 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Deleting the app or uninstalling, Deleting the VeePN app does not cancel subscriptions or those that follow free trials, the billing continues.
- ✕ Deleting your VeePN account before requesting a refund, Deleting your account forfeits any remaining period and makes fees non-refundable even inside the guarantee window; you must request the refund first.
- ✕ Cancelling a website purchase through your Apple/Google account, Store-settings cancellation only works if you bought through that store; direct website purchases must be cancelled by emailing support.
- ✕ Expecting a self-service cancel button in the web dashboard, For many payment methods there is no in-account cancel toggle; users repeatedly report you can only cancel via email, and turning off auto-renewal itself requires contacting support.
- ✕ Live chat for billing or cancellation, VeePN states it does not handle billing inquiries or account amendments via chat for security reasons, you're routed to the contact form/email.
- ✕ Requesting a refund on the discounted trial fee, All fees associated with discounted trials are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, even if you cancel before the trial ends.
- ✕ Refund while a card/PayPal chargeback dispute is open, VeePN says open disputes limit their ability to process refunds and asks users to close the dispute first.
Cancelled VeePN but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from VeePN, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@veepn.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on VeePN’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if VeePN charges again.
How VeePN will try to keep you
VeePN may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Support asks you to "reach out first" so they can resolve issues before you cancel, a soft save step that delays the refund.”
You say: Be direct: state you want to cancel and request a full refund under the 14/30-day money-back guarantee, cite your purchase date and order number, and decline troubleshooting. You don't have to accept a fix, the guarantee is unconditional within the window.
They’ll say: “Support may cancel the whole subscription when you only asked to stop auto-renewal (or vice versa), creating confusion and delay.”
You say: Spell out exactly what you want in writing: "Please disable auto-renewal AND confirm no future charges" or "cancel and refund my last payment." Ask for written confirmation of the outcome so there's a paper trail.
They’ll say: “For crypto/BTC refunds they claim the amount is below the processor's minimum and push an alternative, a stalling tactic.”
You say: Insist on a refund to the original payment method as their own terms require; if they can't, ask for written confirmation and consider a card chargeback (Section 75 / chargeback rights).
They’ll say: “They ask you to close any open card/PayPal dispute before they'll refund.”
You say: Don't close a dispute until the refund actually lands. Tell them you'll withdraw the dispute once the credit clears, and keep the dispute as leverage. If they ignore you, escalate to your bank.
They’ll say: “Slow, sometimes multi-day email responses that can run out the refund clock.”
You say: Send your cancel/refund email well before the 14 or 30-day deadline and keep the timestamp. If they miss the window because they were slow, quote your original dated email and hold them to the date you first requested.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires VeePN to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; VeePN has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of VeePN’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If VeePN’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. VeePN must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your VeePN account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in VeePN’s account settings, email support@veepn.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling VeePN
If you bought directly from veepn.com, email **support@veepn.com** from the address you registered with, using the subject **"I want to cancel my subscription"** and including your order number. There's no reliable one-click cancel in the web dashboard for most payment methods. If you subscribed through the **App Store or Google Play**, cancel in your store's subscription settings instead, VeePN can't stop store-billed subscriptions for you. Note that turning off auto-renewal is a separate request from cancelling, so state clearly what you want.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the VeePN refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The VeePN contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
