You can also cancel in the customer portal at account.try-spartan.com. Do it before the next shipment is processed, because renewals that have already shipped usually can't be stopped. Reviewers report replies the same day or within hours.

Hi SPARTAN™ team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]

What happens to what you’ve already paid
SPARTAN's 90-Day Money Back Guarantee covers product orders, both one-time purchases and subscription shipments. If you don't get the results you expected, email support@try-spartan.com within 90 days of receiving the product with your name, email and order number. You get a full refund and don't have to send anything back. Approved refunds go to your original payment method within 10 business days. Damaged, defective or wrong items are handled separately: report them as soon as the order arrives. SPARTAN usually won't cancel an auto-ship renewal that has already shipped, but because the guarantee runs from when you receive each shipment, a renewal you didn't want can still be refunded under it.
“Contact us at support@try-spartan.com within 90 days of receiving your product. 2. Provide your order details (name, email, and order number) so we can process your full refund. There is no need to return the products.”

Does SPARTAN™ charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in SPARTAN™’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling SPARTAN™
Based on 6 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Assuming a one-time purchase means you aren't on a subscription, Many Trustpilot and JustAnswer reports describe buyers who thought they had made a one-time purchase and were later billed for automatic renewals ($129.95 to $141.49). SPARTAN's own replies admit the subscription option is 'easy to miss during checkout'.
- ✕ Asking to cancel a renewal after it has shipped, Customers report being told the order had already shipped and couldn't be cancelled. Cancel before the next shipment is processed, or claim the shipped order back under the 90-day guarantee.
- ✕ Calling the phone line to cancel, One Trustpilot reviewer tried four different phone numbers, never reached a person, and was charged four months in a row. Email gets far more reported results.
- ✕ Blocking the card or deleting the saved payment method without cancelling, Reviewers say a bank block stopped future charges but not the pending transaction. Others say the subscription was later reactivated. You still need SPARTAN to confirm the cancellation in writing.
- ✕ Logging into the main website account to cancel, Reviewers say the website account showed no record of them, while their subscription only appeared in the separate app or portal. Subscriptions are managed at account.try-spartan.com, not the storefront login.
- ✕ Sending one cancellation email and assuming it worked, Some reviewers say products kept arriving after they emailed to cancel, and one says a cancelled subscription was reactivated a year later. Ask for written confirmation that the subscription is cancelled.
- ✕ Asking for a guarantee refund after 90 days, A commenter on a review site says SPARTAN refused a refund because the 90 days were over. The window runs from when you receive the product.
Cancelled SPARTAN™ but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from SPARTAN™, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@try-spartan.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on SPARTAN™’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if SPARTAN™ charges again.
How SPARTAN™ will try to keep you
SPARTAN™ may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “"You chose the discounted subscription at checkout", SPARTAN's standard Trustpilot reply to surprise-renewal complaints.”
You say: I did not knowingly agree to a recurring subscription, and none of my order emails mention one. Please cancel all future shipments now, confirm the cancellation in writing, and refund the renewal charge I didn't authorise.
They’ll say: “"The order has already shipped and can't be cancelled."”
You say: That's fine, but your 90-Day Money Back Guarantee says there is no need to return the products. I received this shipment less than 90 days ago, so please process a full refund for order #[number] to my original payment method.
They’ll say: “"Results vary, keep using it consistently", common in replies to people who say the product didn't work.”
You say: Your published guarantee promises my money back if I don't see the results I expected, with no extra conditions. I'm claiming it within 90 days of receipt. Please refund order #[number] in full.
They’ll say: “Subscription quietly reactivated after a past cancellation (reported by a Trustpilot reviewer; SPARTAN offered a review by a 'senior member of our team').”
You say: I cancelled this subscription before, and it was charged again without my consent. Please send this to a senior team member, refund the charge, and confirm in writing that there are no active subscriptions on my email or card.
They’ll say: “Pointing you to the customer portal instead of cancelling for you.”
You say: Your team says subscriptions can be cancelled through the portal or by emailing support. I'm cancelling by email: please cancel every active subscription linked to this email address today and confirm it in writing.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires SPARTAN™ to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; SPARTAN™ has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of SPARTAN™’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If SPARTAN™’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. SPARTAN™ must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your SPARTAN™ account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in SPARTAN™’s account settings, email support@try-spartan.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
