The fastest way
My Sheetz Rewardz is free, so there's usually nothing to cancel but the account. Disable it in the Sheetz app or website, or call 1-800-765-4686; redeem points first, as opting out forfeits them. For app-order refunds, use orders.sheetz.com/contact with subject 'Refund request, order #[number]'. Confirmation time unpublished.
Or let yoink do it for you.
30 seconds. AI emails Sheetz, handles retention, chases the refund. You approve once, then sleep.

- Phone: Call +1 800-765-4686 and say “cancel my service”. Expect a retention pitch, decline it twice and hold firm.
- Email: Sheetz doesn’t process cancellations by email. Still worth sending one: it dates your cancellation request in writing, which matters for disputes and refunds.
Timing matters: Not a billing deadline: redeem points before disabling My Sheetz Rewardz, because opting out forfeits them. Points also expire on the last day of the month, 12 months after you earn them.
The email that backs it up
Sheetz won’t action a cancellation from an email alone, use the fastest channel above for the cancellation itself. This email still earns its place: it puts your cancellation date in writing (your evidence if they keep billing) and it’s where the refund request happens.

Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Sheetz team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. If your policy allows it, I'd also appreciate a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the current period. Best, [your name]

Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Sheetz does not publish a refund window for any product. App orders (Made-To-Order pickup food and drinks): customers report that counter staff will not refund items that are missing or out of stock. Instead, you have to contact the Care Team at 1-800-765-4686 or use orders.sheetz.com/contact, and the app has no refund-request button. Delivery orders are fulfilled through DoorDash, and reviewers say the Sheetz app also gives no way to ask for a refund on these. Fuel-pump 'charges' that are larger than your fill-up (usually $75, but anywhere from $25 to $200) are pre-authorisation holds set by your bank, not Sheetz. Your bank is responsible for releasing them. My Sheetz Rewardz is free, so it has no membership refund.
“These type charges are controlled and applied to consumer bank accounts by the consumer's bank.”

Does Sheetz charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Sheetz’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Sheetz
Based on 7 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Asking counter staff to refund a missing or out-of-stock app-order item, App reviewers say staff send them to the app or the phone line, and the app has no place to request the refund. You have to contact the Care Team.
- ✕ Cancelling a Sheetz app order after you've placed it, A Google Play reviewer lost over $60 after ordering at the wrong store and said, 'I'm not allowed to cancel orders.' The app does not appear to let you cancel an order yourself.
- ✕ Requesting a refund for a delivery order inside the Sheetz app, Delivery runs through DoorDash. Reviewers say the Sheetz app has no place to ask for a refund or upload photos.
- ✕ Asking Sheetz to release a fuel-pump pre-authorization hold, Sheetz's FAQ says it does not place holds and that card-issuing banks control them. Only your bank can release one.
Cancelled Sheetz but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Sheetz, treat it as not cancelled. Email
customerservice@sheetz.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Sheetz’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Sheetz charges again.
How Sheetz will try to keep you
Sheetz may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Making the customer chase refunds for items the store couldn't fulfil (staff say 'contact the app' and give no proof the item wasn't supplied)”
You say: Ask the cashier to note or print the order number and which item was missing. Then call the Care Team at 1-800-765-4686 the same day and ask for a refund to your original payment method for the specific item, quoting the order number.
They’ll say: “Forfeiting points when you opt out of My Sheetz Rewardz”
You say: Redeem your spendable points before you disable the account. Sheetz's own policy says to contact Customer Service about any remaining points or rewards, so call 1-800-765-4686 before you close the account if you still have a balance.
They’ll say: “Pointing pump-overcharge complaints to the bank”
You say: If the extra amount is a pre-auth hold, call your bank's card-operations team, as Sheetz suggests. If the pump didn't register a payment and you paid twice, it's a real charge. Ask Sheetz at 1-800-765-4686 for the transaction record and a refund.
They’ll say: “Closing inactive Rewardz cards and expiring points on a rolling 12-month basis”
You say: Check your point expiry dates in the app. If your card was closed for inactivity, call 1-888-239-2856 before you assume the balance is gone.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Sheetz has ~45 days to defend.
Delete your Sheetz account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Sheetz’s account settings, email customerservice@sheetz.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Sheetz
Most people's only Sheetz 'subscription' is **My Sheetz Rewardz**, which is free. To leave it, disable your account in the Sheetz app or on sheetz.com, or call Customer Service at **1-800-765-4686**. Sheetz did sell app-only monthly plans in 2022 (Fryz at $9.99 and self-serve drinks at $14.99). If you still see a recurring charge, cancel it where you signed up. App-store subscriptions are cancelled in iPhone Settings → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions. Otherwise, call the Care Team and ask for written confirmation.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Sheetz refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Sheetz contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
