The fastest way
To cancel a Saunic membership, email hello@saunic.ca from your account email, subject 'Cancel membership, [full name]', and request written confirmation of your final billing date. No response time is published. Session bookings can be cancelled in your account/app: 12+ hours ahead (48 for private) earns credit, never cash refunds.
Or let yoink do it for you.

Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Saunic team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. I'm exercising my statutory right under the consumer-protection law of my jurisdiction to cancel by written notice. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]
Wait for confirmation
Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Drop-in session bookings: cancel more than 12 hours before the start and you get account credit, not cash. Cancel inside 12 hours and you lose the session. Private or exclusive bookings work the same way with a 48-hour cutoff. Memberships and multi-session passes are non-refundable and non-transferable 'unless otherwise stated', and waitlist purchases stay as credit if you don't get in. Saunic says it gives no cash refunds 'under any circumstance', so for any charge you'll need to email hello@saunic.ca and make your case.
“Drop-in sessions: Non-refundable if canceled within 12 hours. Credit issued if canceled earlier. Private sessions: Non-refundable if canceled within 48 hours. Credit issued if canceled earlier. Saunic does not issue refunds under any circumstance.”

Does Saunic charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Saunic’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Saunic
Based on 7 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Asking for a cash refund after cancelling a drop-in within 12 hours of the start, The terms make drop-ins non-refundable inside 12 hours, and you get no credit either.
- ✕ Expecting money back when you cancel early, Even if you cancel more than 12 hours ahead (48 for private sessions), Saunic only gives account credit, and the terms say it 'does not issue refunds under any circumstance'.
- ✕ Giving or selling your membership or pass to someone else, The terms say memberships and multi-session passes are non-transferable.
- ✕ Arriving late and asking for credit, The terms say late arrivals may be turned away and 'are not eligible for a refund or credit'.
- ✕ Using saunic.ca/account/cancel as a self-serve cancel page, That URL just loads the normal homepage. There's no cancellation form on it.
- ✕ Asking for a refund after being removed for your behaviour, The terms say disruptive, unsafe or intoxicated guests are removed 'without refund'.
Cancelled Saunic but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Saunic, treat it as not cancelled. Email
hello@saunic.careferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Saunic’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Saunic charges again.
How Saunic will try to keep you
Saunic may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Offering account credit instead of a cash refund (written into the terms for early drop-in and private-session cancellations)”
You say: I'm leaving Saunic completely, so credit is no use to me. Please refund the unused amount to my original payment method. If you won't, please tell me in writing which clause you're relying on and confirm my credit balance.
They’ll say: “A blanket 'no refunds under any circumstance' clause”
You say: I understand your standard policy, but a blanket no-refund clause doesn't override the consumer-protection laws that apply to my purchase, or my right to dispute a charge for a service I didn't get. Please treat this as a formal refund request and reply in writing.
They’ll say: “Memberships and passes are 'non-refundable unless otherwise stated'”
You say: Your terms say memberships and passes are non-refundable 'unless otherwise stated'. Please check the terms shown when I bought my plan on [date] and confirm whether an exception applies. Either way, please cancel any future renewals now.
They’ll say: “Relying on the force-majeure clause or a location closure (the homepage says Saunic Yard 'returns soon', so it isn't currently running)”
You say: I bought my plan to use Saunic Yard, which hasn't been open. Your force-majeure clause covers delays you can't control. It doesn't let you keep payment for a service you can't provide. Please refund the period I couldn't use.
They’ll say: “Keeping unused waitlist purchases as credit (the terms say they're non-refundable but can be used for a future session)”
You say: I wasn't admitted from the waitlist and I'm no longer using Saunic. Please refund my unused waitlist purchase. If you won't, please confirm in writing how much credit is on my account and when it expires.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Saunic has ~45 days to defend.
Delete your Saunic account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Saunic’s account settings, email hello@saunic.ca with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under data-protection law in most jurisdictions. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Saunic
Saunic doesn't publish a self-serve way to cancel a membership, and **saunic.ca/account/cancel** just loads the homepage. The only contact address on its site is **hello@saunic.ca**. Email from the address on your account with the subject *Cancel membership, [full name]*. Say you're cancelling now, ask them to stop all future charges, and ask for written confirmation of your last billing date. Keep a screenshot of the sent email. If nobody replies within a few business days, send it again and mention your first message.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Saunic refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Saunic contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
