Samsonite plans you can cancel
- One-off luggage purchase (no subscription)
Samsonite sells physical goods, not a recurring subscription. 'Cancellation' means stopping an order before dispatch or exercising the 14-day right to cancel after delivery.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Samsonite UK gives you 14 days from receipt to return unused items for a full refund, including original delivery costs where they apply. Returns are free via UPS courier pickup or a UPS Access Point drop-off using the label emailed to you. The item must go back in its original carton with all labels and inserts within 14 days of your return request. Refunds start within 14 days of the shipper confirming collection and go back to your original payment method.
“If you have decided not to keep your product, you can return your online order (unused) free of charge within 14 days of receipt. We offer a FULL refund.”

Does Samsonite charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Samsonite’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide. If you signed up online within the last 14 days, the Consumer Contracts Regulations give you a cooling-off right to walk away, fee-free, for most digital subscriptions.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Samsonite
Based on 6 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Cancelling or modifying an order after it's placed, Samsonite states it is unable to cancel or modify orders once placed to ship them quickly; cancellation before shipping is not guaranteed. If it has shipped, you must refuse delivery or return it.
- ✕ Exchanging an item directly, Samsonite does not offer direct exchanges, you must return for a refund and place a new order for a different size, colour or product.
- ✕ Returning used or damaged-in-use items for a change-of-mind refund, The 14-day full-refund route requires items to be unused and in original packaging with all labels; wear-and-tear defects are pushed into the warranty/repair process instead.
- ✕ Relying on phone to reach the warranty department, Multiple reviewers report calls not connecting or not being transferred to warranty, and emails going unanswered for weeks.
Cancelled Samsonite but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Samsonite, treat it as not cancelled. Email
customer.care.uk@samsonite.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Samsonite’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Samsonite charges again.
How Samsonite will try to keep you
Samsonite may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Support cannot stop a shipped order but will issue a free return label if you ask to cancel, a Slickdeals user reported this dodges return-shipping charges.”
You say: If they say the order can't be cancelled, ask them in writing to log the cancellation as a return and email you a FREE prepaid return label so you don't lose return postage. You can decide whether to send it back once it arrives.
They’ll say: “Brand pushes faulty items into a repair queue instead of refunding, a Trustpilot reviewer said Samsonite tried to force a warranty process rather than honour the right to reject.”
You say: If a bag fails on first use, state clearly you are exercising your short-term right to reject under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and want a refund, not a repair. Don't accept being funnelled into the workshop process for a fault present within 30 days.
They’ll say: “Emails and calls frequently go unanswered for weeks (Trustpilot, ComplaintsBoard, PissedConsumer all report slow/non-responsive service).”
You say: Send a dated, written request with your order number and a firm deadline, keep every UPS/return receipt as proof of delivery to their dock, and if ignored escalate via your card provider (Section 75 / chargeback) or Retail ADR. You can also escalate to the CEO's office as a last resort.
They’ll say: “Refuse-delivery route for orders that already shipped.”
You say: If your order has already dispatched and you no longer want it, simply refuse delivery when it arrives, Samsonite refunds once the product returns to their fulfilment centre.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Samsonite’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Samsonite’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Samsonite has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (European Union)
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Samsonite must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Samsonite account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Samsonite’s account settings, email customer.care.uk@samsonite.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under UK GDPR (Article 17, the right to erasure). They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Samsonite
Contact customer service immediately at **customer.care.uk@samsonite.com** or via the Contact Us form. Samsonite says it's *"unable to cancel or modify orders once they have been placed"* and can't guarantee a stop before shipping, but it will try. If cancellation succeeds it shows in your Order History. If the order has already shipped, either refuse delivery on arrival or return it within 14 days, you'll get a full refund once it's back at the warehouse.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Samsonite refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Samsonite contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
