What happens to what you’ve already paid

rhute sells physical haircare (serums, oils, a dermastamp) both as one-off orders and as recurring subscription shipments, and the refund rules are about the GOODS, not a digital plan. For change-of-mind returns of any product or bundle, the item must be unused, unopened and sealed, and the return must be requested within the applicable window, 14 days in the UK & EU, by sending your order number and reason through the Contact Us form or hello@rhutehair.com. Opened or used personal-care items are refused for hygiene reasons unless faulty, so a half-used £55 serum is a faulty-goods/not-as-described claim rather than a change-of-mind return. Does rhute charge a cancellation fee?

We found no cancellation fee in rhute’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide. If you signed up online within the last 14 days, the Consumer Contracts Regulations give you a cooling-off right to walk away, fee-free, for most digital subscriptions.

Cancelled rhute but still being charged?

Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:

• The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from rhute, treat it as not cancelled. Email hello@rhutehair.com referencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since.
• You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on rhute’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
• Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.

If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”.   You say: I understand the eight-week timeline; I've made my decision and I'm cancelling. Please confirm the subscription is closed and tell me the deadline for returning my unopened bottle.

• They’ll say: “Delay-and-apologise on shipments, a verified buyer reports subscription orders delayed twice and having to chase the team to get them shipped, which can push a disputed charge past the return window while you wait.”

  You say: My order has already been delayed. Treat this as a cancellation plus a refund request for the undelivered shipment; my return window shouldn't run while I'm waiting on a parcel you haven't sent.

• They’ll say: “Routing everything through the Contact Us form with a two-business-day reply SLA, so each round trip costs you days against the 14-day return window.”

  You say: I'm sending this by email on [date] as written notice of cancellation and of my intention to return the unopened items; please treat this date as the date of my request regardless of when you reply.

• They’ll say: “Stock/sell-out messaging, Trustpilot reviewers report the serum going out of stock with no restock date after they'd bought in, framing a wait rather than a refund.”

  You say: I'm not waiting for a restock. Please cancel the subscription and refund the charge for anything you cannot ship.

Delete your rhute account (not just cancel)

Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
