Replicate plans you can cancel
- Pay-as-you-go (public models)
No subscription, billed per-second of compute or per input/output. Stop running models to stop charges; remove payment method in billing settings.
- Private / deployed models
Billed for setup, idle and active time on dedicated hardware. Delete the deployment to stop charges.
- Enterprise (committed spend)
Custom contract via sales, cancellation governed by the signed order form.
Replicate’s refund policy
Replicate is pay-per-use, so there's no monthly fee to refund, you only pay for compute you actually consumed. Prepaid credit balances are explicitly non-refundable except where law requires otherwise. Any dispute over a charge must be raised within 30 days of the payment due date. For Subscription plans, you must cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
“All Prepaid Balances are non-refundable, except as otherwise required by law or as expressly set forth in this Agreement.”

Does Replicate charge a cancellation fee?
Replicate’s terms mention conditions worth checking before you cancel, see the plan notes and policy quote above for the specifics we found. In general: rolling monthly plans end at the period you’ve already paid for with nothing extra to pay, while minimum-term or contract plans can carry an early-exit charge until the term ends.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Replicate
Based on 5 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Calling a support phone line, Replicate publishes no phone number, support is chat, email and Discord only.
- ✕ Cancelling via Apple/Google in-app subscriptions, Replicate is a developer API platform billed via Stripe, not via the App Store.
- ✕ Asking for a refund on credit you've already burned through inference, Prepaid Balances are non-refundable except where law requires otherwise.
- ✕ Disputing a charge after 30 days, Terms require billing disputes to be brought within 30 days of the payment due date (or longer if local law allows).
Cancelled Replicate but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Replicate, treat it as not cancelled. Email
legal@replicate.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Replicate’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- You're inside a minimum term. Some Replicate plans keep charging until a fixed term ends even after you cancel, check the plan notes above.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Replicate charges again.
How Replicate will try to keep you
Replicate may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Support routes you to chat instead of writing off the charge”
You say: Terms confirm cancellation can be made by contacting replicate.com/support, request a written email confirmation of cancellation and a final invoice with $0 due, and decline to continue in chat-only.
They’ll say: “Offer to convert unused credit to account credit instead of refunding”
You say: Cite the 30-day billing dispute window in the Terms and request return to original payment method; under UK CRA / EU consumer law a digital service not delivered as described is refundable regardless of an internal credit policy.
They’ll say: “Silence / delayed reply from first-line support”
You say: Escalate by emailing legal@replicate.com referencing your support ticket number, the unauthorised auto-renewal and your statutory rights, Replicate's legal mailbox is the published notice address in the Terms.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires Replicate to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Replicate has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Replicate’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Replicate’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Replicate must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Replicate account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Replicate’s account settings, email legal@replicate.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Replicate
Replicate's Terms say: *"You may cancel the Subscription by contacting us at replicate.com/support."* Open the support portal, start a chat or email, and request cancellation in writing before your renewal date. For pay-as-you-go accounts there's nothing to cancel, just stop running models and delete any private deployments. Remove your card under **Account → Billing** to be safe, and keep the cancellation email as proof.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Replicate refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Replicate contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
