- Phone: Call +1 800-774-2354 and say “cancel my service”. Expect a retention pitch, decline it twice and hold firm.
- Online (fastest): Direct cancel flow: www.priceline.com/next-profile/trip-lookup
- Email: Priceline doesn’t process cancellations by email. Still worth sending one: it dates your cancellation request in writing, which matters for disputes and refunds.
Timing matters: Flights: the free void window closes roughly 24 hours after booking, reported as 11:29pm Eastern the next business day, so a Friday, Sunday purchase can be cancelled until Monday 11:29pm ET. Cancel For Any Reason claims must be filed before check-in and at least 8 hours before first departure. Rental-car collision damage coverage refunds only up to 30 minutes before pickup.
The email that backs it up
Priceline won’t action a cancellation from an email alone, use the fastest channel above for the cancellation itself. This email still earns its place: it puts your cancellation date in writing (your evidence if they keep billing) and it’s where the refund request happens.

Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Priceline team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]
Wait for confirmation
Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Priceline sells one-off travel, not a subscription, so refunds are per booking and depend on which product you bought. Standard disclosed FLIGHTS are the friendliest: cancel inside the 24-hour void window after booking (Priceline follows the US DOT 24-hour rule; reports say it runs to 11:29pm Eastern the next business day) and you get a full refund, after that the airline's fare rules govern and Priceline adds a processing fee. HOTEL and RENTAL CAR bookings follow the property's or rental company's own deadline shown on your itinerary, and Express Deals / Pricebreakers (where the supplier is hidden until after payment) are sold as non-refundable, non-changeable and non-cancellable. Optional add-ons behave differently again: rental-car collision damage coverage refunds 100% up to 30 minutes before pickup, while the Cancel For Any Reason fee is never refunded. Once a cancellation is accepted, refunds are commonly quoted at 1 to 5 business days but complicated cases have been reported taking weeks, and Priceline will only refund the original card.
“We or the applicable hotel may, on an exception basis and at the request of the hotel guest, waive one or more of the restrictions after the hotel room has been booked. We may, in our discretion, impose additional obligations and/or fees in connection with any such waiver.”

Does Priceline charge a cancellation fee?
Priceline’s terms mention conditions worth checking before you cancel, see the plan notes and policy quote above for the specifics we found. In general: rolling monthly plans end at the period you’ve already paid for with nothing extra to pay, while minimum-term or contract plans can carry an early-exit charge until the term ends.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Priceline
Based on 6 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Emailing a general support address to cancel a booking, Consumer-advocacy and support directories state Priceline does not publish a customer service email address; cancellations go through My Trips self-service, chat or phone. Email is useful for a refund paper trail, not as a cancel channel.
- ✕ Trying to cancel an Express Deal or Pricebreakers booking in My Trips, Opaque deals reveal the supplier only after payment and are documented as non-changeable, non-refundable and non-cancellable, so no Cancel button appears.
- ✕ Asking Priceline to override the airline's or hotel's no-cancellation rule, Priceline's own help copy says that if the airline does not allow cancellations, Priceline cannot override that policy.
- ✕ Relying on a phone agent's verbal promise of a full refund, Multiple advocacy cases show Priceline later refunding only part of a package and refusing to release the call recording that allegedly proves what was agreed.
- ✕ Asking for the refund to be sent to a different card, Priceline states it can only refund the original card on file and points customers at their old bank if that card is closed.
- ✕ Waiting passively while Priceline chases the supplier for confirmation, A widely-shared complaint describes being told to wait 10 business days for a rental company to confirm the car was never collected, then being refused the refund when that supplier never replied.
- ✕ Emailing long-retired executives at first.last@priceline.com addresses found on old complaint blogs, Those chains date from 2012 and the named leadership has changed (Brett Keller retired as CEO, with Brigit Zimmerman appointed effective 1 January 2026), so the mailboxes are stale.
Cancelled Priceline but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Priceline, treat it as not cancelled. Email
legal@priceline.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Priceline’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Priceline charges again.
How Priceline will try to keep you
Priceline may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “"This rate is non-refundable, there is nothing we can do."”
You say: Quote their own terms back: the booking terms say Priceline or the hotel may, on an exception basis and at the guest's request, waive one or more of the restrictions after booking. Ask them to log the exception request and name the supplier contact they raised it with.
They’ll say: “Refusing to cancel an Express Deal because the supplier won't allow it”
You say: Community-verified workaround: call the revealed hotel or rental branch yourself, get them to agree verbally to release the booking, then tell Priceline the supplier has authorised it and ask Priceline to call them to close the cancellation. Get the agent's name and a case reference in writing.
They’ll say: “Offering a small future-booking coupon or travel credit instead of cash”
You say: Decline the credit in writing: "I am declining the voucher and requesting a refund to the original payment card." A credit you may never redeem does not settle the charge, and accepting it weakens a later card dispute.
They’ll say: “Ping-ponging you between Priceline and the airline/hotel/rental company”
You say: Priceline is the merchant of record on your card statement, say so. "The charge on my statement is from Priceline, so Priceline owns this refund. Please confirm in writing which party is refusing and why."
They’ll say: “Phone-only resolution with no written record ('the call recording isn't available to you')”
You say: After any call, email a summary to executive.services@priceline.com with the trip number, agent name, time of call and what was agreed, and ask them to confirm or correct it. That email is the paper trail chargebacks and BBB complaints run on.
They’ll say: “Stalling the refund past the card-dispute clock while 'awaiting supplier confirmation'”
You say: Set a deadline: "Please confirm the refund within 5 business days or I will raise a dispute with my card issuer." Then file it, reported chargeback outcomes improve when you attach photos, the booking screen you relied on, and the dates you chased.
They’ll say: “Front-line agents and supervisors closing the case, sometimes hanging up”
You say: Escalate above the call centre: email the executive escalation mailbox with a short factual summary, the trip confirmation number and the resolution you want, and allow 2 to 3 business days before escalating again.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Priceline has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Priceline’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Priceline’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Priceline must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Priceline account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Priceline’s account settings, email legal@priceline.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Priceline
For most standard **flight** bookings, yes. Priceline follows the US DOT 24-hour rule, so a ticket cancelled shortly after purchase is refunded in full; travel reporting has long noted Priceline runs it to **11:29pm Eastern the next business day**, so a Friday, Sunday booking can be cancelled until Monday night. It does not apply to opaque bookings, Express Deals, Pricebreakers and old Name Your Own Price fares are excluded. Hotels and rental cars follow the supplier's own deadline shown on your itinerary, not a blanket 24 hours.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Priceline refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Priceline contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
