Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Offspring team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. I'm exercising my statutory right under the consumer-protection law of my jurisdiction to cancel by written notice. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]
Wait for confirmation
Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Offspring is a footwear retailer, so every charge is a one-off order, there is no subscription or recurring membership to stop. Pre-dispatch order cancellations are discretionary and only possible in a very short window after checkout, handled by Live Chat or email; if Offspring cancels your order for stock reasons you aren't charged, though your bank may hold the pending authorisation for a few days. After dispatch the only refund route is a return: items must come back unworn, in original packaging, with proof of purchase, within 28 days of receipt, and refunds go only to the original payment card. Returns can take up to 10 days to be received and processed at the Kilmarnock returns department; store drop-offs are accepted but the refund is not issued in store, you should get return confirmation within 5 working days. Uncollected Click & Collect orders are auto-refunded once the 14-day collection period lapses, showing in 2 to 5 working days.
“If your order has already been dispatched, we can no longer cancel it but you can return it within 28 days of purchase.”

Does Offspring charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Offspring’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Offspring
Based on 5 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Cancelling yourself from the website account area, Offspring publishes no self-serve cancel flow, their own Orders help page routes every cancellation to Live Chat or help@offspring.co.uk, and reviewers report the site also fails to generate return labels.
- ✕ Phoning Offspring to cancel or chase a refund, Reviewers repeatedly note there is no customer-service phone line published for offspring.co.uk, only an email address; numbers listed on third-party aggregator sites are unverified and reported unanswered.
- ✕ Opening a PayPal dispute while waiting for the refund, Offspring's own public reply states that raising a case stops the refund being processed and asks customers to close the case first.
- ✕ Cancelling after the order has been dispatched, Terms state a dispatched order can no longer be cancelled, the return route replaces it.
- ✕ Returning an online order to a concession, or to an Irish or German store, Terms exclude concessions, and online orders cannot be returned to Irish or German retail stores where the customer paid import taxes; eBay purchases must go to mail order only.
- ✕ Returning worn items or items without the original box/invoice, Returns must be unworn, in original condition and packaging with proof of purchase, or acceptance isn't guaranteed.
Cancelled Offspring but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Offspring, treat it as not cancelled. Email
help@offspring.co.ukreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Offspring’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Offspring charges again.
How Offspring will try to keep you
Offspring may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Email-only wall, no phone line, replies in days, so a time-critical pre-dispatch cancellation slips past the window.”
You say: Send the cancellation request the minute you decide, with "Cancel order [number], pre-dispatch" in the subject line, and state plainly that the email itself is your notice of cancellation and is effective on the time sent, not on the time they read it. Keep the timestamp.
They’ll say: “Deflection to the courier, customers reporting missing or misdelivered parcels are told to chase Yodel/DPD themselves.”
You say: Reply that your contract is with Offspring, not the carrier, and that the retailer is responsible for the goods until they are delivered to you. Ask them to either redeliver or refund within 14 days, and say you'll raise a card chargeback or Section 75 claim if they don't.
They’ll say: “Photo-evidence demands, reviewers report being refused a postage refund on a wrong-size delivery because they hadn't photographed the item before returning it.”
You say: Photograph everything (label, box, item, postage receipt) before it leaves your hands. If they ask after the item is already back with them, point out they have the goods in their possession and can verify the error themselves, and ask for the return postage to be reimbursed as their error.
They’ll say: “The 10-day processing window used as a holding pattern, then "it's outside the investigation time" once the 10 days pass.”
You say: Diary day 10 from the carrier's delivery-confirmation date. On day 11 send one email with the tracking proof and a firm 7-day deadline, and say you'll go to your card issuer or PayPal afterwards. Don't let a second 10-day cycle start.
They’ll say: “Exchange or store credit pushed instead of a cash refund.”
You say: The returns form lets you specify refund or exchange, tick refund and write it on the form. If you're offered credit, state in writing you require the refund to the original card, which is their stated refund method.
They’ll say: “Refund stalled because a payment dispute is open, as Offspring confirms publicly.”
You say: Decide one route and stick to it. Give Offspring a written 14-day deadline first; only escalate to PayPal/chargeback when it lapses, and tell them you've done so, so no one can blame the dispute for the delay.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Offspring has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Offspring’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Offspring’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Offspring must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Offspring account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Offspring’s account settings, email help@offspring.co.uk with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under data-protection law in most jurisdictions. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Offspring
Only inside a very short window. Offspring's Orders help page says there is **a very limited space of time where an order can be cancelled**, and routes you to Live Chat or **help@offspring.co.uk**. There is no cancel button in your account. Send the email immediately with your order number in the subject line, the gap between an order being placed and picked is short, and once it's dispatched cancellation is off the table. If you miss it, you still have 28 days from receipt to return the item for a refund.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Offspring refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Offspring contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
