Loaded plans you can cancel
- One-off digital key purchase
Loaded sells single digital game keys, memberships, gift cards and top-ups, there is no recurring subscription to cancel.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Loaded gives you a 7-day refund window from the date of purchase, but only if the product key has not been revealed, redeemed or activated. Requests are reviewed case-by-case. Older PayPal, Apple Pay or crypto transactions may be refunded to a Loaded Gift Card instead of the original payment method. Refunds are not offered for game crashes, performance or compatibility issues, those must be taken up with the game's developer or publisher.
“If you purchased a game key from Loaded and it has not been redeemed, you can request a refund within seven days of purchase. Each request is reviewed individually to ensure it meets our policy.”

Asking specifically for money back, not just a cancellation? See the dedicated Loaded refund guide , same data, but framed around the policy + escalation paths.
Does Loaded charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Loaded’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Loaded
Based on 2 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Asking for a refund after you've revealed or redeemed the key, Loaded's policy explicitly requires the product key to be unredeemed and unactivated to qualify for a refund.
- ✕ Requesting a refund because a game crashes or won't run, Loaded states crashes, performance issues and compatibility errors must be resolved by the game's developer or publisher, they will not refund.
- ✕ Cancelling a 'Loaded subscription', There is no Loaded subscription. Loaded is a digital key retailer; any recurring charge you're seeing is likely from the underlying service (Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus, EA Play) which must be cancelled on that platform.
- ✕ Requesting refund via app store, Loaded transacts directly via its website, not via App Store or Google Play in-app purchases, so store-side refund routes do not apply.
Cancelled Loaded but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Loaded, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@loaded.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Loaded’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Loaded charges again.
How Loaded will try to keep you
Loaded may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Support suggests contacting the game's publisher (e.g. GOG, Steam) instead of refunding a bad key”
You say: The key was sold by Loaded and payment went to Loaded, under UK/EU consumer law and US card-network chargeback rules, the seller is responsible for a working product. Please refund the order or resend a valid key within 7 days; otherwise I will file a chargeback with my card issuer.
They’ll say: “Offering a replacement key when the first is invalid, sometimes also already-used”
You say: This is the second non-functional key supplied against order #[X]. I no longer want a replacement, please refund to the original payment method under your 7-day policy today.
They’ll say: “Offering a Loaded Gift Card instead of a cash refund on older PayPal/Apple Pay/crypto transactions”
You say: I do not accept store credit. Please refund to my original payment method. If the payment provider's window has closed, refund via bank transfer, I'll provide details on request.
They’ll say: “Delay via 'security check' or ID verification once the order is flagged”
You say: The order has been pending review for over 48 hours. Please either complete verification and deliver the key, or cancel and refund the order in full today.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Loaded has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Loaded’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Loaded’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Loaded must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Loaded account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Loaded’s account settings, email support@loaded.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Loaded
No. Loaded (formerly CDKeys) is a one-off digital retailer, you pay once for a game key, membership code, gift card or top-up. There's no recurring Loaded charge. If you're seeing a recurring bill after buying from Loaded, it's from the underlying service you activated (Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus, EA Play, Nintendo Switch Online) and you need to cancel auto-renew on that platform, not on loaded.com.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Loaded refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Loaded contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
