Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Glide team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]

Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.
Glide plans you can cancel
- Free$0.00/mo
No subscription to cancel; canceled paid plans convert to a free plan at the end of the billing period.
- Solo (GlideOS)$25.00/mo
Self-serve cancel via Billing → Manage Plan / Open Customer Portal → Cancel subscription; takes effect at period end.
- Team (GlideOS)$125.00/mo
Priced from 5 members with 50 credits per member; member/credit add-ons and overages accrued before cancellation still invoice at cycle end.
- Enterprise
Custom contract sold via Contact Sales, cancellation and notice terms sit in the signed order form, not the self-serve portal.
- Glide Classic legacy plans (Explorer / Maker / Business)
GlideOS is billed separately from Glide Classic, cancelling one does not cancel the other; check both teams' Billing screens.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Paid plan subscriptions (Solo, Team, and legacy Classic plans) are refundable in full only if you ask within 14 days of the initial purchase date, after that Glide's stated position is no refund, and cancelling mid-term never produces a prorated refund of the period you already paid for. Usage overages (updates/credits) are handled differently: Glide offers a one-time account credit for accidental overages rather than cash back, and overages incurred before you cancel still land on the final invoice. Template Gallery purchases are not Glide's money at all, refunds there are at the template creator's discretion. Enterprise contracts are governed by the signed agreement, not this policy.
“We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you're unhappy, we will issue you a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase date. You must submit a refund request within this 14-day period to qualify for a refund. No refunds will be given after 14 days of your initial purchase date.”
, Glide terms
Asking specifically for money back, not just a cancellation? See the dedicated Glide refund guide , same data, but framed around the policy + escalation paths.
Does Glide charge a cancellation fee?
Glide’s terms mention conditions worth checking before you cancel, see the plan notes and policy quote above for the specifics we found. In general: rolling monthly plans end at the period you’ve already paid for with nothing extra to pay, while minimum-term or contract plans can carry an early-exit charge until the term ends.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Glide
Based on 7 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Cancelling mid-cycle and expecting money back for unused time, Terms state paid services cannot be terminated before the end of the paid period and you are not eligible for a prorated refund of the current subscription period.
- ✕ Requesting a refund more than 14 days after purchase, The published refund policy says no refunds will be given after 14 days of the initial purchase date; forum posts show same-day auto-renewal refund requests being auto-rejected by the refund portal.
- ✕ Filing a card chargeback or payment dispute, Glide's refund policy says a reversed/disputed payment is treated as unauthorised use, it refunds the charge, then closes the account and deletes all applications.
- ✕ Trying to cancel while an invoice is unpaid, The help centre states all outstanding invoices must be paid first, the Cancel Subscription button does not display while payments are outstanding.
- ✕ Cancelling but leaving apps published, Help centre: after cancelling, overages incurred during the period are still charged at the end of the billing cycle unless you unpublish your apps.
- ✕ Deleting the app/team or walking away instead of cancelling, Recurring charges continue until the subscription itself is cancelled or the account terminated; multiple forum threads are users still being billed after abandoning apps.
- ✕ Relying on the AI chat agent to resolve a billing dispute, Trustpilot reviewers describe the AI support system looping generic troubleshooting and not escalating to a human in real time; others report emails going unanswered for days.
Cancelled Glide but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Glide, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@glideapps.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Glide’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- You're inside a minimum term. Some Glide plans keep charging until a fixed term ends even after you cancel, check the plan notes above.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Glide charges again.
How Glide will try to keep you
Glide may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “AI chat agent handles the billing complaint and never hands to a human, then promises a callback 'on Monday'.”
You say: Ask in writing for escalation to a human billing agent, note support hours are Monday, Friday 8am, 8pm Eastern, and put the same request in an email to support@glideapps.com so there is a timestamped paper trail if the chat transcript disappears.
They’ll say: “Offer of account credit toward future plan/usage fees instead of a cash refund.”
You say: State you have cancelled and will not incur future fees, so credit has no value to you; request the refund be returned to the original payment method under the 14-day refund policy and cite your purchase date.
They’ll say: “Downgrade steered instead of cancellation, with the price difference issued as an automatic account credit.”
You say: Say explicitly 'cancel, do not downgrade', a downgrade keeps an active subscription and converts your money into credit rather than stopping billing.
They’ll say: “Cancellation is reversible via 'Renew Plan' before period end, so nothing feels final.”
You say: Screenshot the cancellation confirmation and the billing screen showing the end date, and ask support to confirm in writing that the plan will not renew.
They’ll say: “Post-cancellation overage and extra-user charges appear on the final invoice.”
You say: Unpublish every app immediately after cancelling, then ask support to confirm the final invoice amount before it bills and to zero out usage accrued after your cancellation date.
They’ll say: “Refund portal issues an instant automated rejection, ending the conversation.”
You say: Reply asking for manual human review, state the charge date, that you cancelled within minutes and have consumed no usage on the new cycle, and reference the 14-day refund policy by name.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires Glide to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Glide has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Glide’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Glide’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Glide must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Glide account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Glide’s account settings, email support@glideapps.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Glide
Do it in the builder, not by email. Sign in at **go.glideapps.com**, pick the right team from the Team dropdown (top left), click **Billing** (bottom left), then **Manage Plan** or **Open Customer Portal** → **Cancel subscription** → **Cancel plan**. The plan stays usable until the end of the current billing period, then converts to Free. If the Cancel Subscription button is missing, you have an unpaid invoice, Glide hides the button until outstanding payments are settled. Glide's terms also allow cancellation by contacting **support@glideapps.com**, which is useful as a written record.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Glide refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Glide contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
