Deliveroo / Nando's plans you can cancel
- Deliveroo Plus Gold£7.99/mo
Cancel under Account → Deliveroo Plus on the web or in the app. Do it before your billing date, because monthly plans renew on the same date each month. You can't switch an annual plan to monthly before the annual term ends.
- Deliveroo Plus Gold (£4.99 monthly offer)£4.99/mo
Price varies by customer and has no annual option. You cancel it the same way (Account → Deliveroo Plus).
- Deliveroo Plus Silver£0.00/mo
Only available through partnerships (Amazon Prime, Blue Light Card) and to selected Deliveroo Students, free for one year. If it came through Amazon, manage it from your Amazon account.
- Deliveroo Plus Diamond
Invite-only tier with no public price. Presumably cancelled through Account → Deliveroo Plus like the other tiers.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Deliveroo Plus subscription fees (Gold monthly or annual) are fully refundable if you ask within 14 days of the paid period starting. After that there's no change-of-mind refund, annual plans aren't pro-rated, and your perks continue until the term ends. Nando's food orders delivered by Deliveroo have no fixed window: report missing, wrong, cold, damaged or very late items through Order Help (or Nando's dedicated delivery line). Refunds follow the mix of credit and card you paid with, and refunds for single missing items are usually partial. For Nando's orders placed today, Nando's says to call the restaurant's Manager on Duty.
“You can request a full refund within the first 14 days of your paid period. If you cancel after this 14 day cooling off period, you will not be refunded for a change of mind.”

Does Deliveroo / Nando's charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Deliveroo / Nando's’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide. If you signed up online within the last 14 days, the Consumer Contracts Regulations give you a cooling-off right to walk away, fee-free, for most digital subscriptions.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Deliveroo / Nando's
Based on 6 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Deleting the Deliveroo app or account to stop Plus, Deleting the app doesn't cancel Plus, and some users say they were charged again after deleting their account. Cancel Plus under Account → Deliveroo Plus first.
- ✕ Asking the restaurant to refund an order placed through Deliveroo, Restaurants regularly send Deliveroo-app orders back to Deliveroo ('speak to Deliveroo'), because Deliveroo takes the payment as the partner's agent. Nando's-site orders placed today are the exception: Nando's sends those to the restaurant's Manager on Duty.
- ✕ Asking for a change-of-mind Plus refund after day 14, Deliveroo's FAQ says there's no change-of-mind refund after the 14-day cooling-off period, and annual plans aren't pro-rated.
- ✕ Expecting a full card refund on an order partly paid with Deliveroo credit, Refunds follow the credit-to-card mix you paid with. If half the order was paid with credit, half the refund comes back as credit.
- ✕ Cancelling a Nando's delivery after the kitchen has started, You can only self-cancel through the confirmation-email help link before preparation starts. After that it's a request Deliveroo or Nando's may turn down.
Cancelled Deliveroo / Nando's but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Deliveroo / Nando's, treat it as not cancelled. Email
customersupport@deliveroo.co.ukreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Deliveroo / Nando's’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Deliveroo / Nando's charges again.
How Deliveroo / Nando's will try to keep you
Deliveroo / Nando's may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Offering a percentage-based partial refund for an order that was inedible or very late”
You say: I'm rejecting the partial refund for order #[number]. The food wasn't of satisfactory quality / wasn't delivered as described, so please refund the full order value, including delivery and service fees, to my original payment method.
They’ll say: “Refunding as Deliveroo account credit instead of to your card”
You say: I paid for order #[number] by card. Please send the refund for the card-paid portion back to that card, not as Deliveroo credit, in line with your own rule that refunds follow how the order was paid.
They’ll say: “Bouncing you between the restaurant and Deliveroo”
You say: Your Terms say Deliveroo acts as the partner's agent and takes payment on its behalf, and that Deliveroo is the delivery contract party for Deliveroo Delivery. Please resolve order #[number] directly. Don't send me back to the restaurant.
They’ll say: “Repeatedly promising a 'resolution within 24 hours' that never arrives”
You say: This is my [nth] contact about [order/Plus charge] since [date]. Please confirm the refund in writing within 7 days. Otherwise I'll raise a chargeback with my card issuer and take the complaint further.
They’ll say: “Warning that frequent refund requests may lead to account closure for 'abuse'”
You say: This claim has photo evidence and the order timeline attached. It's a genuine fault, not a repeated or unreasonable complaint, and I expect it to be handled on its merits.
They’ll say: “Saying an annual Plus plan can't be refunded”
You say: I'm cancelling within 14 days of the paid period starting, which your FAQ says qualifies for a full refund. Please refund £[amount] to my original payment method.

Delete your Deliveroo / Nando's account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Deliveroo / Nando's’s account settings, email customersupport@deliveroo.co.uk with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under UK GDPR (Article 17, the right to erasure). They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Deliveroo / Nando's
For Nando's delivery (brought to you by Deliveroo), you can cancel through the **help link in your confirmation email** as long as the restaurant hasn't started preparing your food. Once preparation has started you can only *request* a cancellation through the same help link, and approval isn't guaranteed. If you ordered in the Deliveroo app, open **Orders → Order Help** on the live order. Deliveroo says it will try, but can't always cancel once the partner has started cooking or a rider has been assigned.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Deliveroo / Nando's refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Deliveroo / Nando's contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
