- Phone: Call +1 877-727-4288 and say “cancel my service”. Expect a retention pitch, decline it twice and hold firm.
- Online (fastest): Direct cancel flow: myaccount.cricut.com
- Email: Cricut doesn’t process cancellations by email. Still worth sending one: it dates your cancellation request in writing, which matters for disputes and refunds.
Timing matters: Cancel before your renewal date; the subscription auto-renews and Access fees are non-refundable, so cancelling after renewal won't get your money back. Access continues until the end of the cycle you already paid for.
The email that backs it up
Cricut won’t action a cancellation from an email alone, use the fastest channel above for the cancellation itself. This email still earns its place: it puts your cancellation date in writing (your evidence if they keep billing) and it’s where the refund request happens.

Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi Cricut team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. I'm giving notice ahead of my next renewal date and expect no further charges from that date. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]

Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.
Cricut plans you can cancel
- Cricut Access Standard (Monthly)$9.99/mo
Cancel via myaccount.cricut.com > Subscription > Cancel Plan; access continues until the end of the current billing cycle.
- Cricut Access Standard (Annual)$95.88/yr
Same online cancel flow; annual plan bills upfront, so cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next year's charge.
- Cricut Access Premium (Annual, US/Canada only)$119.88/yr
Premium is an annual-only plan offered to US/Canada residents; cancel before the yearly renewal date.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Cricut Access subscription fees are non-refundable, the terms state all payments are non-refundable except where required by law, with no refunds or credits for partial periods, unused features, or promotions. Cancelling only stops the next auto-renewal; you keep access until the end of the cycle you already paid for. Physical Cricut products (machines, materials) are separate and have a 30-day return window if new and unused. If you're in the UK or EU and cancelled a subscription within the statutory cooling-off period, you may have stronger legal refund rights than the brand's own policy suggests.
“Cricut Access purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, you can cancel the auto-renewal.”

Does Cricut charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Cricut’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Cricut
Based on 9 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Emailing support@cricut.com to cancel the subscription, Cricut's own help center routes cancellation through the self-service account page (or the app store if bought via mobile); email is for support/order issues, not a documented cancel channel.
- ✕ Cancelling on cricut.com when you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, Mobile-purchased subscriptions must be cancelled through Apple or Google; the Cricut account page won't stop a store-billed subscription.
- ✕ Requesting a refund of Cricut Access fees after being billed, Cricut states Access purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable and it does not credit partial periods.
- ✕ Cancelling and expecting continued access to premium content, After cancellation, premium images and fonts lock or require separate purchase, though saved projects remain on the account.
Cancelled Cricut but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Cricut, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@cricut.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Cricut’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Cricut charges again.
How Cricut will try to keep you
Cricut may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Cricut frames the subscription as paying for itself via the 10% (or 20% Premium) store discount and library access, nudging you to keep it 'because it's worth it'.”
You say: If you upload your own SVGs or source files from Etsy/Design Bundles, the library discount is irrelevant. The free Design Space tier still lets you upload and cut your own designs, you don't need Access to use your machine.
They’ll say: “Cancellation only stops the next renewal; you keep access to the end of the cycle, which can make people forget and get re-billed the following period on a different payment path (e.g. app store vs website).”
You say: Confirm exactly where you subscribed (cricut.com, iOS, or Android) and cancel in that same channel. Screenshot the cancellation confirmation and note your renewal date so a duplicate subscription can't quietly re-bill you.
They’ll say: “Because Access fees are non-refundable, users who forget to cancel before an annual renewal are told the money can't be returned.”
You say: If you were charged for a renewal you didn't want, still ask Member Care, Cricut may issue a discretionary refund or credit at its sole discretion. UK/EU cooling-off rights or a card chargeback (Section 75 / dispute) can also apply if the charge was unfair.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United States
- FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule (2024+)Cancel must be as easy as sign-up.
The Federal Trade Commission’s Click-to-Cancel rule requires Cricut to make cancelling at least as simple as signing up, same channel, same number of clicks. If they buried the cancel button or forced a phone call, they’re in violation; report to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
- California ARL (auto-renewal law)Renewal must be cancellable online.
California Business & Professions Code §17602 forces any company billing California residents on auto-renewal to provide an online cancel mechanism. Lawsuits have been won on this; companies often refund quickly when it’s cited.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Cricut has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Cricut’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Cricut’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Cricut must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Cricut account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Cricut’s account settings, email support@cricut.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Cricut
Sign in at **myaccount.cricut.com**, select **Subscription** from the navigation menu, click **Cancel Plan**, and confirm. Your subscription then expires at the end of the current billing cycle, you keep access until then. **Important:** if you bought Cricut Access through the Design Space app on iPhone/iPad or Android, you must cancel through the **Apple App Store** or **Google Play Store** instead, not on the Cricut website.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Cricut refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Cricut contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
