Vilgain plans you can cancel
- One-off order (no subscription)
Vilgain is a standard e-commerce shop with no recurring plan or membership. 'Cancelling' means stopping an unshipped order or returning delivered goods for a refund.
Vilgain’s refund policy
Vilgain gives you 30 days from delivery to request a return or refund, even just for a change of heart, email support@vilgain.co.uk with your order number and reason. If you catch the order before it's handed to the carrier, they cancel it and refund your card within 5 working days. Vilgain doesn't do exchanges: you return for a refund, then reorder. The catch flagged by UK customers is that returns must be shipped to the Czech Republic, so return postage can cost more than the goods.
“If there are any issues with your order, or if you've had a change of heart, please contact us within 30 days of delivery. You can email us at support@vilgain.co.uk. In your email, please provide the reason for the return.”

Does Vilgain charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Vilgain’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide. If you signed up online within the last 14 days, the Consumer Contracts Regulations give you a cooling-off right to walk away, fee-free, for most digital subscriptions.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Vilgain
Based on 5 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Cancelling an order that's already with the carrier, Vilgain's support page states that once an order is paid by card and handed to the carrier, changes are not possible, you must refuse delivery, then wait for it to return to the warehouse for a refund.
- ✕ Requesting an exchange instead of a refund, Vilgain explicitly does not facilitate exchanges; you must return for a refund and place a new order.
- ✕ Phoning to cancel, No dedicated cancellation phone line is published on the UK site; the customer-care team handles requests by email, and its own store pages state there is no phone number for order issues.
- ✕ Returning cheaply within the UK, Multiple UK Trustpilot reviewers report that although goods ship from the UK, returns must be sent to the Czech Republic, making return postage disproportionately expensive.
Cancelled Vilgain but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Vilgain, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@vilgain.co.ukreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Vilgain’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Vilgain charges again.
How Vilgain will try to keep you
Vilgain may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Slow or stalled refunds after agreeing to refund”
You say: A UK reviewer reported Vilgain agreed a refund and even offered a discount, but 10+ days later the money hadn't arrived. If your refund is promised but not paid, reply on the same email thread requesting a firm date, and cite your right to a refund within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations; if it still fails, open a card chargeback.
They’ll say: “Return-postage-to-Czech-Republic friction”
You say: Vilgain routes returns to the Czech Republic, which can cost more than the goods. Where the item is faulty, damaged, or wrong, insist Vilgain covers return postage, the seller, not you, bears return costs for defective goods and where they failed to disclose return-cost responsibility up front.
They’ll say: “'Blame the carrier' on non-delivery”
You say: Several reviewers describe orders marked delivered but not received, with Royal Mail blamed. Your contract is with Vilgain, not the courier, demand redelivery or a refund from Vilgain directly and escalate to a chargeback if ignored.
They’ll say: “Offer of a discount code to keep you”
You say: Reviewers note Vilgain offering a discount on the next order to smooth over problems. If you want your money back rather than credit, restate that you are exercising your statutory refund right, not accepting store credit.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Vilgain’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Vilgain’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Vilgain has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (European Union)
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Vilgain must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Vilgain account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Vilgain’s account settings, email support@vilgain.co.uk with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under UK GDPR (Article 17, the right to erasure). They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Vilgain
Vilgain has no subscription, so there's nothing recurring to cancel, you're cancelling a single order. Email **support@vilgain.co.uk** as fast as possible with your order number. If the order hasn't been handed to the carrier yet, Vilgain will cancel it and refund your card within 5 working days. If it's already shipped, you can't cancel it mid-transit, refuse delivery and they'll refund once it returns to the warehouse, or accept it and start a return within 30 days.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Vilgain refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Vilgain contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
