Too Good To Go won’t action a cancellation from an email alone, use the fastest channel above for the cancellation itself. This email still earns its place: it puts your cancellation date in writing (your evidence if they keep billing) and it’s where the refund request happens.

Too Good To Go plans you can cancel
- Surprise Bag (pay per order)
Not a subscription. Each bag is a one-off reservation. You can cancel it in the app with the 'Cancel reservation' button up to 2 hours before the Collection Window starts. After that the button disappears, and you have to ask the in-app Help Center until the pickup window ends. Once confirmed, a cancellation can't be undone.
- Too Good To Go Parcel (delivered, pay per order)
A one-off delivered order, only in some markets. The sources don't describe a separate cancellation rule for Parcels, so contact the in-app Help Center from the order.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
This covers Surprise Bag orders. Too Good To Go has no consumer subscription, so there are no recurring charges to refund. If you cancel a bag at least 2 hours before the Collection Window, or the store cancels it, the card pre-authorization is simply lifted and you aren't charged, though your bank may take up to 30 days to clear the hold. If the store caused the problem (closed shop, bad quality, contents well below the stated value) or the app had a technical error, you can ask for a refund through in-app chat; a secondary source reports requests must be made within 30 days of the pickup window ending. Approved refunds take 3 to 10 business days. Missed pickups, late cancellations and disliking the contents are not refunded.
“We are happy to provide a refund if the issue was caused by the store or by a technical error on our part.”

Does Too Good To Go charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Too Good To Go’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Too Good To Go
Based on 6 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Calling customer support, Too Good To Go's help center says it does not offer phone support. All customer support goes through in-app chat.
- ✕ Cancelling in the app less than 2 hours before the Collection Window, The 'Cancel reservation' button disappears 2 hours before the window starts. From then until the window ends you have to ask the Help Center to cancel.
- ✕ Asking for a refund after missing the pickup, Once the Collection Window ends, the reservation counts as a purchase. The help center says missed collections and late arrivals are not refunded or rescheduled.
- ✕ Asking for a refund because you didn't like the contents, The policy calls disliked contents a 'customer-side issue' and says no refund or compensation is given. Only store-caused or technical problems qualify.
- ✕ Asking support to undo an accidental cancellation, The help center says neither users nor Customer Care can reverse a confirmed cancellation. You can only re-order if the bag is still listed.
- ✕ Looking for a Too Good To Go subscription in App Store, Google Play or PayPal subscriptions, Consumers pay per bag. There is no recurring consumer subscription, so third-party 'cancel subscription' guides don't apply. To stop using the service, delete your account.
- ✕ Asking Too Good To Go to speed up a pending charge, The help center says it can't manually speed up the release of a bank hold. Only your bank can do that, using the Order ID.
Cancelled Too Good To Go but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Too Good To Go, treat it as not cancelled. Email
hello@toogoodtogo.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Too Good To Go’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Too Good To Go charges again.
How Too Good To Go will try to keep you
Too Good To Go may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Public complaints (Trustpilot) get a stock reply sending you back to the in-app help centre instead of being resolved”
You say: Start straight from the order in the app (Profile > My Orders > the order > Help) with the Order ID, photos of the bag, the price you paid and the value promised. Their own Trustpilot replies admit bags sometimes 'do not meet the minimum value you paid for', so name that gap explicitly.
They’ll say: “Labelling the problem a 'customer-side issue' to refuse a refund”
You say: Their policy says they refund issues caused by the store or by a technical error. If the store was closed during the listed window, the food was inedible, or the contents were well below the stated value, say clearly that this is a store-caused issue under their own 'Can I get a refund?' policy.
They’ll say: “Offering a voucher or nothing instead of a card refund”
You say: Complaint sites report agents giving no compensation or only vouchers. If the problem was store-caused, ask for a refund to the original payment method in writing and keep the chat transcript. Under the policy, refunds arrive in 3 to 10 business days.
They’ll say: “Telling you the pending charge isn't their problem”
You say: If a cancelled or failed order still shows as pending after about 5 business days, give your bank the unique Order ID from the app. The help center confirms that Too Good To Go doesn't capture the money from a lifted hold.

Delete your Too Good To Go account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.

Common questions about cancelling Too Good To Go
Open the order in the app and tap **'Cancel reservation'**. The button only works until **2 hours before** the Collection Window starts, then it disappears. From that point until the pickup window ends, message the in-app Help Center to ask for a cancellation. If you cancel in time, the card pre-authorization is lifted and you aren't charged. Your bank usually clears it within a few days but can take up to 30. Cancel as early as you can so someone else can save the bag.
