The fastest way
G2G has no subscription, you cancel individual orders. Open the order and click "Cancel Order" (or "Report" if it already shows Delivered), choose refund to original payment method, then email support@g2g.com, subject "Order [ID], cancellation & refund request", with evidence. Store credit is instant; card refunds take 1 to 14 days.
Or let yoink do it for you.

G2G won’t action a cancellation from an email alone, use the fastest channel above for the cancellation itself. This email still earns its place: it puts your cancellation date in writing (your evidence if they keep billing) and it’s where the refund request happens.

G2G plans you can cancel
- One-off marketplace order (no recurring plan)
G2G sells one-off peer-to-peer orders (game coins, items, accounts, gift cards, top-ups, coaching/GamePal sessions) priced per listing by the seller, there is no recurring G2G membership to cancel. Support docs state G2G does not offer subscription-based or recurring services.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
Order cancellations: while an order is still To-Pay, Pending, Verifying Payment or Preparing, you can cancel it yourself with the "Cancel Order" button and pick either G2G Store Credit (instant) or the original payment method (1 to 14 days), handling fees on orders that passed the verification stage are not refunded. Game accounts and similar goods/services carry a 14-day insurance period from delivery/confirmation: raise account-access or not-as-described claims via "Report" inside that window, or G2G will not intervene afterwards. Gift cards, video games and software keys are treated as "downloaded" the moment they hit your G2G account and are then non-refundable, so never click "Confirm Received" before you've checked the item. Coaching and GamePal sessions have their own rule, a no-show buyer gets nothing back, and a session counts as delivered if the coach completes at least 85%; remorse, mistaken purchases and complaints raised too late are explicitly excluded, and chargebacks are not covered by G2G's protection scheme.

Asking specifically for money back, not just a cancellation? See the dedicated G2G refund guide , same data, but framed around the policy + escalation paths.
Does G2G charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in G2G’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling G2G
Based on 8 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Clicking "Cancel Order" after the order status flips to Delivered, Support docs state buyers cannot directly apply for cancellation once the order is Delivered, the only route is the "Report" button, and the seller must approve (or you escalate after 48 hours).
- ✕ Asking for a refund because you changed your mind, bought the wrong item, or picked the wrong server/account, Refunds are explicitly refused for buyer dissatisfaction, remorse and mistaken purchases, and G2G disclaims responsibility for incorrect purchases caused by buyer-supplied information.
- ✕ Claiming on a gift card, game key or software listing after it has been delivered to your G2G account, Intangible products are deemed "downloaded" on delivery to the account and are then treated as strictly non-refundable or exchangeable.
- ✕ Reporting a hijacked/recovered game account after ~14 days, The insurance period is 14 calendar days from delivery/confirmation; after expiry G2G says the buyer bears full risk and it will not reverse the transaction, Trustpilot complaints repeatedly describe sellers pulling accounts back just after the window closes.
- ✕ Letting the escalation clock run out (72 hours to escalate, 48 hours to answer support), Refunds are refused for failure to escalate within 72 hours, and if you don't return evidence to support within 48 hours the case is treated as resolved and closed.
- ✕ Filing a bank chargeback and expecting G2G to process it, Support docs state G2G does not cover payment disputes or chargebacks; sellers are separately shielded by GamerProtect chargeback protection, so the dispute can bounce back at you and put your account at risk.
- ✕ Sending an in-game item or account "back" to the seller as a return, G2G tells buyers in-game items should never be returned under any circumstances and warns that only scammers request returns; sellers have publicly complained that refunds were released before assets came back.
- ✕ Trying to reach a cancellation team by phone, G2G's own cancellation documentation is entirely in-platform (Cancel Order / Report / ticket); no official phone cancellation line is published, and numbers circulating on third-party complaint directories are unverified.
- ✕ Chasing the seller in chat and nothing else, Seller chat is the recommended first step, but Trustpilot reviewers describe sellers going silent or deactivating their profile, without a formal Report/ticket the order clock keeps running and payment releases to the seller.
- ✕ Expecting the handling/processing fee back on a cancelled order, For orders that have passed the verification stage the handling fee is stated as non-refundable.
Cancelled G2G but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from G2G, treat it as not cancelled. Email
support@g2g.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on G2G’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if G2G charges again.
How G2G will try to keep you
G2G may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Support redirects you back to the seller you already reported, one reviewer described roughly 17 emails of generic replies telling them to go back to a seller who had ignored them.”
You say: Reply on the same ticket: "I have already attempted seller resolution; the seller has not responded / the profile is unavailable. Per your Refunds, Returns and Cancellations policy I am escalating to G2G for determination. Please treat this as a formal escalation, not a seller referral, and give me a ticket decision and a date."
They’ll say: “Refund is pushed as G2G Store Credit rather than money back to your card, store credit is promoted as "instant", and third-party reviews note disputes are commonly settled in store credit.”
You say: State the choice explicitly: "Your policy lets buyers choose Store Credit or the original payment method. I am selecting the original payment method for order [ID]. Please do not issue store credit; I understand bank settlement can take up to 14 days."
They’ll say: “Ticket closed as "resolved" with a copy-paste template before the case is actually reviewed, complaint boards and Trustpilot describe tickets being closed immediately.”
You say: "Ticket #[x] was closed without a substantive review. I am reopening and attaching the same evidence. If it is closed again without a case-specific decision I will treat it as a final refusal and proceed with my payment provider and the relevant consumer authority."
They’ll say: “"Out of insurance period" refusal when an account is recovered just after day 14.”
You say: "The defect existed at the point of sale, the seller retained recovery access, so the item was never as described when delivered. Date of discovery is not the same as date of fault. Please review the seller's recovery history on this listing."
They’ll say: “Evidence treadmill: repeated requests for more screenshots/video while the 48-hour response clock runs.”
You say: "All evidence is attached in one bundle (order ID, chat log, timestamps, video). I have met the 48-hour evidence requirement. Please confirm receipt in writing and state what decision is outstanding and by when."
They’ll say: “Seller offers a replacement account instead of a refund, reviewers report the replacement then gets pulled back too.”
You say: "I am declining a replacement and requesting the refund for order [ID]. Accepting a replacement restarts nothing in my favour and the original defect is unresolved. Please process the refund to the original payment method."
They’ll say: “Public reply on Trustpilot claiming the case was resolved/refunded while the ticket stays dead.”
You say: "Your public response states this was refunded. No refund has reached my payment method or wallet. Please provide the refund reference and date, or correct your public statement."
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; G2G has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (United Kingdom, European Union)
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of G2G’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If G2G’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. G2G must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your G2G account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in G2G’s account settings, email support@g2g.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling G2G
Open **Purchase Orders**, find the order, and use the **Cancel Order** button, G2G then processes the request according to the order's status. While the order is *To-Pay*, *Pending*, *Verifying Payment* or *Preparing*, you can request cancellation yourself and choose a refund method (Store Credit or original payment method). In *Preparing* the seller may need to approve; if they don't respond within 48 hours you can escalate to G2G. Once the order shows **Delivered** the Cancel button no longer applies and you must use **Report** instead. Keep the order ID and a screenshot of the status.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the G2G refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The G2G contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
