Flannels plans you can cancel
- Standard Online Order
One-off purchase, not a subscription. Cancellation only possible before order enters fulfilment.
Flannels’s refund policy
Flannels gives you 28 days from delivery to return online orders through their returns portal. You pay for return postage (typically £6.99) unless the item is faulty. Refunds go back to your original payment method and can take up to 14 days to appear. In-store purchases can only be returned in-store, and Flannels typically issues a credit note rather than cash for those.
“Most returns are processed in a few days, but the money can take up to 14 days to appear back in your account”

Does Flannels charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in Flannels’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide. If you signed up online within the last 14 days, the Consumer Contracts Regulations give you a cooling-off right to walk away, fee-free, for most digital subscriptions.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Flannels
Based on 2 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Cancelling an order after it has entered fulfilment or shipped, Flannels explicitly states they cannot cancel once the order has shipped or started automated fulfilment, you must accept delivery and return it
- ✕ Returning an online order to a Flannels store, Online purchases (including Click & Collect) cannot be returned in-store, they must go back via the postal returns portal
- ✕ Expecting a cash refund on an in-store purchase, In-store returns are issued as credit notes or exchanges, not refunds to the card, multiple reviewers report being refused cash
- ✕ Getting delivery charges refunded when courier is late, Trustpilot and Courier Checker reviewers report Flannels refuses to refund next-day delivery fees as long as the parcel was 'dispatched' on time, even if it arrived days late
- ✕ Free returns on faulty items without contacting support first, The portal charges return postage by default; you must contact Customer Service before returning a faulty item to have postage covered
- ✕ Returning multiple orders in one parcel, Flannels processes returns per-order; combining orders can delay or block your refund
Cancelled Flannels but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Flannels, treat it as not cancelled. Email
cs@flannels.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Flannels’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Flannels charges again.
How Flannels will try to keep you
Flannels may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Live chat agent disconnects or virtual assistant loops on FAQs before a human is offered”
You say: Skip webchat and email cs@flannels.com directly with your order number, a clear timeline, and photos. Ask for a written response within 14 days and cite the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) or the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
They’ll say: “Offer of a 10% discount code instead of accepting a faulty return”
You say: Reject the discount in writing and repeat the request for a full refund to original payment method. Reference that faulty goods must be refunded under UK/EU consumer law regardless of goodwill offers.
They’ll say: “Return rejected because items were 'washed / worn' with no evidence”
You say: Request photographic proof of the alleged damage and the return-inspection report. If refused, raise a Section 75 chargeback (credit card) or a chargeback with your debit card issuer, you have 120 days.
They’ll say: “Being told delivery charge is non-refundable because parcel was 'dispatched' on time”
You say: Under UK Consumer Rights Act s.28, paid-for delivery services must be provided within the agreed timeframe; failure means you're entitled to a refund of the delivery premium. Cite this and escalate to Resolver if refused.
They’ll say: “Ticket closed after a boilerplate reply refusing the refund”
You say: Reply on the same thread, mark it 'Formal complaint, deadlock requested', and cc social@flannels.com. Then open a chargeback via your card issuer while waiting.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Flannels’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Flannels’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Flannels has ~45 days to defend.
Rights in other regions (European Union)
European Union
- Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU14-day right of withdrawal across all EU states.
EU-wide statutory right to withdraw from any distance-sold contract within 14 days. Mirrored into local law in every member state. Flannels must honour it regardless of where they’re headquartered.
Delete your Flannels account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Flannels’s account settings, email cs@flannels.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under UK GDPR (Article 17, the right to erasure). They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Flannels
Only if it hasn't entered fulfilment yet. Flannels' help centre says: *'Depending on the status of your order, we may be able to cancel it for you. Please contact Customer Service so we can check this further for you. If your order has already been shipped or started going through our automated fulfilment process, we will not be able to cancel it for you.'* Email cs@flannels.com the moment you decide, waiting even an hour usually means you'll have to accept delivery and return instead.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Flannels refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Flannels contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
