Cancellation Request, [your account email]Send this template
Hi ARQ (formerly DolarApp) team, I'm writing to cancel the subscription on my account, [your account email]. Please treat this as formal notice of cancellation, effective from the end of the current billing period. Under the FTC's Click-to-Cancel rule, cancellation must be available through a channel as simple as the one I signed up through. Please confirm by reply that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further charges will be taken. Best, [your name]
Wait for confirmation
Wait 24 hours. If there's no response, send a polite one-line follow-up referencing the original request.
ARQ (formerly DolarApp) plans you can cancel
- Standard (free account)$0.00/mo
No subscription to cancel, closing the account itself is a separate request handled by support / in-app chat. Withdraw your USDc or EURc balance to your linked bank account first.
- ARQ Premium$6.99/mo
Billed in USDc from your ARQ balance, not via Apple/Google. Help centre states you can deactivate at any time to avoid the next month's charge without penalties.
- ARQ Prestige$199.00/yr
Prestige carries a secured credit card and metal card; settle any outstanding credit statement before deactivating, since billing cycles run one month from your subscription date. Yearly price reported by a third-party review site, not confirmed on ARQ's own pages.
What happens to what you’ve already paid
This rule covers the ARQ Premium / ARQ Prestige membership fee only: deactivating stops the next $6.99 monthly or $69.99 yearly charge, with no penalty, but ARQ publishes no pro-rata or money-back window for the cycle you already paid. Everything else ARQ charges, conversion spread on peso/real to USDc, ~$3 international transfer fees, ATM fees over the free allowance, card issuance, is a one-off transaction, not a subscription, and has no automatic refund route; you raise those per-transaction via in-app chat or email with the transaction ID. Balance held in USDc/EURc is not a refund question at all: it is withdrawn back to a bank account you previously topped up from, which is also what ARQ says it does if an account is closed after review. If a membership renewed while your account was frozen for verification, say so explicitly and ask for the fee back in writing.
“You can deactivate your membership at any time to avoid the next month's charge, without any penalties.”

Does ARQ (formerly DolarApp) charge a cancellation fee?
We found no cancellation fee in ARQ (formerly DolarApp)’s published terms. On a rolling plan you simply pay to the end of the current billing period and nothing after. If you’re inside a fixed minimum term, check your signup email for the end date, cancelling early is where fees usually hide.
What doesn’t work for cancelling ARQ (formerly DolarApp)
Based on 6 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Cancelling through Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings, Premium/Prestige are charged in USDc from your ARQ balance inside the app, not as an App Store or Play in-app purchase, so no subscription entry appears there to cancel.
- ✕ Deleting the ARQ app from your phone, Membership renewal is tied to the account, not the installed app; the help centre describes renewal as automatic until you deactivate the membership in the Premium tab.
- ✕ Calling a customer service phone number, ARQ publishes no support telephone number on its site or help centre; a consumer-complaint directory lists DolarApp phone contact as unavailable and points users to email instead.
- ✕ Asking for help in a Telegram group or by DM on social media, ARQ's 'Official ARQ Channels' article states it has no official Telegram channel or community and that the previous one was closed, impostor groups are a scam risk, not a cancellation route.
- ✕ Expecting in-app chat to close the loop same-day during a dispute, Trustpilot reviewers report being held in automated queues with messages that many users are in consultation, with no human agent reached for over a day.
Cancelled ARQ (formerly DolarApp) but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from ARQ (formerly DolarApp), treat it as not cancelled. Email
help@arqfinance.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on ARQ (formerly DolarApp)’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if ARQ (formerly DolarApp) charges again.
How ARQ (formerly DolarApp) will try to keep you
ARQ (formerly DolarApp) may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “In-app chat funnels you into an automated assistant and a queue, so the cancellation or refund request never reaches a human quickly.”
You say: Send the same request by email to help@arqfinance.com with 'Cancel ARQ Premium, [ARQtag]' in the subject and a screenshot of the chat timestamp. A dated email creates the cancellation record the chat transcript won't give you.
They’ll say: “Account placed 'under review' for KYC, operations like card payments, top-ups and transfers are suspended while you are trying to leave.”
You say: Reply to kyc@arqfinance.com with the requested documents AND a separate line stating you are cancelling the paid membership effective immediately, so the freeze can't be used to run another renewal. ARQ's own article promises a first response within 24 hours and most restrictions lifted within 1 business day of full documentation.
They’ll say: “Fee-back framing: in Brazil, Prestige advertises earning 50% of the plan fee back at USDc 2,000 monthly spend and 100% at USDc 4,000, an argument to keep spending rather than cancel.”
You say: The rebate only pays out if you route thousands through the card each month. If your spend isn't near that, the fee is a pure cost, deactivate and keep the free Standard account, which has no monthly fee.
They’ll say: “Perk-loss framing at cancellation: higher save yield (4.5%/3.5%), 1 to 2% cashback, free international transfers, priority support.”
You say: Standard keeps your account, card and balance; only the boosted rates stop. Ask support to confirm in writing the exact date benefits end and that no further fee will be taken, then screenshot the confirmation.
They’ll say: “Prestige secured credit card keeps you tied in, billing cycles run one month from when you subscribed, and unpaid balances get carried with a 0.7 to 0.8% financing fee.”
You say: Pay the outstanding statement in full from your ARQ balance BEFORE you deactivate, otherwise the financing fee rolls into another cycle. Confirm a zero credit balance in writing, then cancel.
They’ll say: “Closure requests during a block go unanswered, reviewers report repeatedly asking for the account to be closed and for confirmation, without getting it.”
You say: Put the closure request in a single email to help@arqfinance.com, copy kyc@arqfinance.com, and add a deadline ('please confirm closure and balance return within 14 days'). For Brazilian users, escalate unanswered cases to the internal ombudsman at ouvidoria.br@arqfinance.com.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; ARQ (formerly DolarApp) has ~45 days to defend.
Delete your ARQ (formerly DolarApp) account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in ARQ (formerly DolarApp)’s account settings, email help@arqfinance.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling ARQ (formerly DolarApp)
Do it in the app, not on the website. Open the **Premium tab** at the top of the ARQ app, go into your membership, and deactivate it. ARQ's help centre is explicit that you can deactivate at any time to avoid the next month's charge, *without any penalties*. Renewal is automatic until you do this, so the timing matters more than the method. There is no web cancel page and no phone line, if the in-app toggle fails, email **help@arqfinance.com** from your registered address with your ARQtag and the words "cancel my Premium membership", and keep the reply.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the ARQ (formerly DolarApp) refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The ARQ (formerly DolarApp) contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
