The fastest way
You cancel an Azure Parking charge by appealing it, not by paying it. Appeal within 28 days, either online at paymyparkingcharge.com or by email to appeals@paymyparkingcharge.com. Use the subject 'Appeal, PCN [number], Registered Keeper'. Under the BPA code, Azure must reply within 28 days. If they reject your appeal, use the POPLA code they give you.
Or let yoink do it for you.

Timing matters: Appeal within 28 days of the notice. The £60 reduced rate (normally £100) applies if paid within 14 days, and paying usually ends your appeal. If you neither pay nor name the driver within 29 days, the keeper can be pursued. The Notice to Keeper must be delivered within 14 days of the event for keeper liability under POFA.

Azure Parking plans you can cancel
- Parking Charge Notice (PCN)
This is a one-off charge, not a subscription. Azure's signs say 'you agree to pay a charge of £100 (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days)'. The only way to get it cancelled is a written appeal. Use the online portal at paymyparkingcharge.com (run by ZZPS Ltd) or email appeals@paymyparkingcharge.com within the 28-day appeal window. If your first appeal is rejected, you can take it to POPLA using the code in the rejection letter.
- PCN in debt recovery (ZZPS / BW Legal)
Unpaid charges go to ZZPS for debt recovery. Forum users report balances of £170, followed by BW Legal 'Final Demand' letters. Once a charge is at this stage, ZZPS says you're outside the appeal timeframe. The BPA code allows up to £70 in debt-recovery fees to be added.
Does Azure Parking charge a cancellation fee?
Azure Parking’s terms mention conditions worth checking before you cancel, see the plan notes and policy quote above for the specifics we found. In general: rolling monthly plans end at the period you’ve already paid for with nothing extra to pay, while minimum-term or contract plans can carry an early-exit charge until the term ends. If you signed up online within the last 14 days, the Consumer Contracts Regulations give you a cooling-off right to walk away, fee-free, for most digital subscriptions.
What doesn’t work for cancelling Azure Parking
Based on 3 sources, Reddit, app reviews, and direct testing. Skip these and save yourself the loop.
- ✕ Sending your appeal through Azure's complaints process (office@azureparking.co.uk), Azure's Complaints Policy says it is not meant to be used to appeal a Parking Charge. Appeals have to be made in writing as instructed on the notice, meaning the PayMyParkingCharge portal or appeals@paymyparkingcharge.com.
- ✕ Appealing after the 28-day window, Azure/ZZPS has told late appellants that their email 'is not being treated as an appeal' because it was outside the appeals timeframe, and that the matter would carry on without payment.
- ✕ Trying to appeal to ZZPS once the charge is in debt recovery, In its Trustpilot replies, ZZPS says people at the debt-recovery stage are outside the timeframe to appeal. Debt-advice sites say ZZPS won't consider parking appeals; only the parking company can.
- ✕ Asking the shop or site manager to cancel it, A Northampton forum user found the retail-park store manager had no power over Azure. She had three charges of her own to deal with.
- ✕ Paying the reduced £60 and then disputing it, The BPA code that forum users quote says an operator that accepts payment doesn't have to offer an appeal, as long as the notice makes this clear. Paying usually closes the case.
- ✕ Ignoring the letters completely, Unpaid Azure charges move on to ZZPS (£170 balances reported), then BW Legal final demands, and threats of enforcement agents or a court claim. Forum regulars advise not paying but never ignoring a Letter of Claim.
Cancelled Azure Parking but still being charged?
Three common reasons, in order of likelihood:
- The cancellation didn’t actually complete. If you never received a written confirmation from Azure Parking, treat it as not cancelled. Email
appeals@paymyparkingcharge.comreferencing your original request date and ask for written confirmation plus a refund of any charge taken since. - You cancelled in the wrong place. Subscriptions started through the App Store or Google Play bill through Apple or Google, cancelling on Azure Parking’s site doesn’t touch them. Check Settings → Subscriptions on iPhone, or Play Store → Payments & subscriptions on Android.
- Billing lag. A charge that was already in flight when you cancelled can still land a few days later. One trailing charge can be normal; two is not.
If they keep charging after a confirmed cancellation, that’s chargeback territory: dispute the charge with your bank citing “subscription cancelled, merchant continued billing”. The yoink app also flags this automatically, it keeps watching your inbox after a confirmed cancellation and alerts you if Azure Parking charges again.
How Azure Parking will try to keep you
Azure Parking may respond with a retention offer, a discount, a free month, or a downgrade to a cheaper tier. Don't engage with the counteroffer. Restate that you want a full cancellation and cite the consumer law again if they push back.
They’ll say: “Rejecting first-stage appeals with little review (reported on Trustpilot and MoneySavingExpert)”
You say: A rejection from Azure/ZZPS isn't the end. The rejection letter has to give you a POPLA code. Use it within the deadline and send POPLA your strongest grounds: a late Notice to Keeper, poor signs, or no proof of landowner authority.
They’ll say: “Saying the keeper is liable and asking you to name the driver”
You say: Appeal as the registered keeper and don't name the driver. If the Notice to Keeper reached you more than 14 days after the event (a posted notice counts as delivered on the second working day), Azure can't hold the keeper liable under POFA 2012 Schedule 4.
They’ll say: “Pushing you to pay the 'reduced to £60 within 14 days' discount quickly”
You say: Paying usually ends your appeal. The appeal window is 28 days, and the reduced rate is normally held while an appeal is pending. Appeal first.
They’ll say: “Demanding a reply 'within 7 days' in appeal emails”
You say: The BPA code gives you 28 days to appeal a parking charge, and it requires the operator to respond within 28 days. Reply in writing, but don't let a 7-day deadline rush you into paying.
They’ll say: “Saying the photos on paymyparkingcharge.com prove the breach”
You say: Put Azure to strict proof. Ask for the full ANPR images, the site's signs, and the landowner contract, and point out any notice that doesn't say what the charge is for.
They’ll say: “Passing the charge to ZZPS, then BW Legal and GCTT enforcement agents, with added fees (£170 reported)”
You say: Debt collectors have no power to enforce without a court judgment. Respond properly to any formal Letter of Claim, dispute the debt in writing, and challenge recovery fees above the original charge.
Your rights when cancelling
The law where you live is the strongest hook, lead with it when you contact the company.
United Kingdom
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 201314-day cooling-off on new subscriptions.
You can terminate any continuous service contract within 14 days of starting it and recover any payment, no questions asked. Applies regardless of Azure Parking’s own policy.
- Consumer Rights Act 2015Services must be as described.
If Azure Parking’s service was misrepresented or didn’t deliver what was promised, you have a statutory right to remedy (repair, refund, or price reduction) regardless of their terms.
Worldwide
- Card-issuer chargebackYour bank can reverse the charge.
Visa, Mastercard, and Amex all run chargeback schemes, “goods/services not as described” or “subscription not cancelled” are valid reason codes everywhere they operate. Your bank handles the dispute; Azure Parking has ~45 days to defend.
Delete your Azure Parking account (not just cancel)
Cancelling stops the billing; deleting removes your account and personal data. Do them in that order, deleting an account with an active subscription can leave the billing running with no way to log in and stop it.
If there’s no delete option in Azure Parking’s account settings, email appeals@paymyparkingcharge.com with the subject Account deletion request, [your account email] and ask for your account and personal data to be erased under UK GDPR (Article 17, the right to erasure). They’re typically required to act on it, most companies complete erasure within about 30 days, and you should ask for written confirmation when it’s done.
Common questions about cancelling Azure Parking
Appeal in writing within **28 days** of the notice. Use the portal at **paymyparkingcharge.com** (run by ZZPS Ltd for Azure) or email **appeals@paymyparkingcharge.com**, and include your PCN number. Write as the **registered keeper** and don't name the driver. Common grounds are signs that weren't clear or prominent, a Notice to Keeper that didn't arrive within 14 days (POFA 2012), and no proof of landowner authority. Expect Azure to reject the first appeal. Forum users report that rejections are routine, so keep the POPLA code from the rejection letter.
Money-back questions (windows, pro-rata, chargebacks) are covered in the Azure Parking refund guide. Need a human for something else entirely? The Azure Parking contact guide lists every channel that actually answers.
