How to Get a PayByPhone Refund for an Overcharge.
PayByPhone refunds are per-order, here's what their policy actually says, and how to escalate if they ignore the request.
Last verified today against PayByPhone’s own Terms · UK, US, and EU rights covered below
The short answer
PayByPhone itself doesn't own the car parks and can't authorise refunds directly, refund decisions rest with the parking operator. You submit a refund request through PayByPhone Support (or the in-app Virtual Assistant), and they investigate on your behalf, referring you to the operator if declined. Requests are handled case-by-case and you'll need proof such as receipts or bank statements. Approved refunds typically take around 2 to 3 business days.
Or let yoink chase the refund.
30 seconds to set up. yoink emails PayByPhone, cites the policy, escalates if ignored, and surfaces the win when the money lands.

Refund FAQ for PayByPhone
Open the PayByPhone app (or m.paybyphone.com), tap **Account** at the bottom navigation bar, then **Settings > Delete Account**, and confirm. Once deleted you **can't restore the account or access past parking activity**, so print or export your receipts first. There's no monthly subscription to cancel, PayByPhone only charges per parking session, so deleting the account and removing your saved card stops all future use.
