these terms govern your use of the yoink mobile app and website (the "service"). by using yoink, you agree to them. if you don't agree, don't use the service.
1. what yoink does
yoink helps you find recurring subscriptions and refundable purchases in your connected email, and — with your authorisation — drafts and sends cancellation requests and refund claims from your email address, then follows up on them.
2. your account & eligibility
you must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. you're responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your device secure. you must own, or be authorised to use, any email account you connect.
3. authorisation to act on your behalf
when you ask yoink to cancel a subscription or request a refund, you authorise it to send emails from your connected email address for that purpose, and to send reasonable follow-ups until the matter reaches an outcome or you stop it. you can preview your first email and can stop, edit, or take over any thread at any time.
4. no guaranteed outcome
yoink helps you ask — clearly, on time, and in line with stated policies — but we cannot guarantee that any company will cancel a subscription or grant a refund. outcomes depend on each company's own terms and decisions. yoink is a tool to assist you; it is not your legal or financial representative and does not provide legal or financial advice.
5. acceptable use
you agree not to use yoink to send unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or abusive messages, to make false claims, or to misuse the service or any connected account. you must comply with the terms of your email provider and of the companies you contact.
6. third-party services
yoink relies on third parties including Google, Supabase, Anthropic, and Apple. your use of connected services (e.g. Gmail) is also subject to their terms. we're not responsible for those services or for actions taken by the companies you contact through yoink.
7. privacy
our privacy policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.
8. intellectual property
the yoink app, brand, and content are owned by us. you get a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service. you keep ownership of your own content and data.
9. disclaimers
the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. we don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will recover any particular amount of money.
10. limitation of liability
to the fullest extent permitted by law, yoink will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost savings, refunds, or profits. our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £50.
11. termination
you can stop using yoink and disconnect or delete your data at any time. we may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or misuse the service.
12. changes
we may update these terms. if changes are material we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. continued use means you accept the updated terms.
13. governing law
these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
