creator program terms.

these terms govern yoink’s creator program — the “earn” feature that credits you when people you refer win refunds. they sit alongside our terms of service; using the program means you agree to both.

1. how earning works

every yoink user gets a creator code and link. when someone signs up through your code or link and yoink wins them a refund, you earn 10% of the gross refund amount yoink recovers for them. cancellations on their own (no money recovered) don’t generate credit.

2. the 12-month window

you earn on refunds a referred user wins during the 12 months after they first join through your code. after that window closes, their later refunds no longer generate credit for anyone.

3. attribution

attribution is first-touch: the first creator code a user is attributed to gets the credit. a user can later choose to switch whose code they support in the app; from then on new refunds credit the new creator, but the 12-month window stays anchored to the user’s original join date. you can’t earn on your own account (self-referral), and one person operating multiple accounts to refer themselves doesn’t count as referring anyone.

4. when credit clears

credit appears as pending when a referred user’s refund is confirmed, and clears 30 days later. the wait exists because refunds can be reversed, disputed, or turn out not to be genuine — if that happens, the associated credit is removed. we only count refunds corroborated by the merchant’s own confirmation; unverifiable or self-reported wins don’t accrue.

5. getting paid

cleared credit accrues to your account in the currency of each refund and is shown in the app. credit currently accrues as account balance; payout mechanisms (and any minimums) will be introduced and described in the app before any payout is due. credit has no cash value until paid out, isn’t transferable, and isn’t interest-bearing.

6. what’s not allowed

no spam, no misleading promotion (don’t promise refunds or specific amounts — outcomes are never guaranteed), no paid-search bidding on yoink’s name, no posing as yoink, and no fraud of any kind — including referring fake accounts, fabricating refund claims, or coordinating abuse. we may withhold, reverse, or cancel credit connected to activity we reasonably believe breaks these rules, and may remove accounts from the program.

7. taxes

you’re responsible for any tax owed on amounts you earn through the program.

8. changes & ending the program

we can change the rate, window, eligibility, or any mechanic of the program — or end it — at any time. changes apply going forward: credit already cleared stays yours; pending credit continues under the rules it accrued under, unless it’s connected to fraud.
